This one was a rough read, and here's a content warning - rape and incest are plot points in this book, and we do discuss their use in this episode. If you haven't read this, we definitely wouldn't recommend it.
Next month we jump into the world of LitRPG, which one of us is very familiar with and the other has zero knowledge of. Join us in December for Matt Dinniman's Dungeon Crawler Carl.
Want to defend Rant or Palahniuk from us fools who clearly don't understand? [email protected] is ready for your comments.
Our Lord of the Rings reread at rereaders.substack.com is over but it's all still there.

Dear listeners you have almost certainly never read this book and we beg you not to. This month we dive into Washburn & Webb's The Predators which one of us (sure, guess who) read when they were way too young. Not that there's any good age to read this book.
Thoughts on this one? Want to borrow a copy? (No you don't). Let us know at [email protected].
Join us next month for Robin McKinley's Sunshine!

This month we wrestle with Philip K. Dick's Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep, and wow y'all. Here's a little preview:
"My one note is from page 7, where I figured it could end right here..."
Do you love this book and want to tell us that we're idiots? Let us know at [email protected]. We're still waiting on that first email.

Y'all, this book is wild. David Morrell's First Blood gave the world Rambo but it's not quite the Rambo from the movies. There's waist-high guano, out of body experiences, and the slaughter and consumption of an owl. Don't read it, just listen to us process the madness.
Next month we're heading to something slightly closer to reality, Borderline by Mishell Baker.

The last third part of the Southern Reach trilogy series, and the last we'll be discussing, this month it's Jeff VanderMeer's Acceptance. Did we like it or would we have preferred it would be something it's not? Yes.
Join us next month as we dive into First Blood, by David Morrell. One of us read this more than thirty years ago, when they were far too young. Can you guess which?

We've got the second Southern Reach book, Jeff VanderMeer’s Authority. This time we mostly just take shots at the book itself, rather than roping in any innocent bystanders.
Join us next month as we conclude the original Area X trilogy with VanderMeer's Acceptance.
