Sisters Karli and Kasey discuss the catalyst for The Reroute: a realization in the shower. Four days after Kasey had surgery to begin a marathon of treatment for stage 4 cancer, she had a moment of clarity. Although her experience was unique, the discomfort of being at a fork in the road was universally human. Thus, The Reroute was born. Karli then shares her perspective on how Kasey’s diagnosis has been a detour for her as well, in packing up her life and moving across the country. The sisters discuss each of their experiences with Kasey’s diagnosis. They also walk through their own defining reroutes: for Kasey, her cancer diagnosis and for Karli, a falling out with the person closest to her.
