Mark Ward was a professional footballer in the 80’s and 90’s for West Ham, Man City and Everton. After retirement, he struggled financially and mentally and wound up serving 4 years in prison on drugs charges. Here, Mark shares with Sam the challenges of life after football stardom, the emotional issues that led to his bad decisions and how he has since rebuilt his life and his mental health.
