Whelp, Florida legislative session is over....somewhat...for now. Rep. Fentrice Driskell and I chatted about the good, the bad and the downright ugly that resulted from this session. There are a whole bunch of new laws that are being contested in court, with a huge impact to be felt by all of us in the years to come. The path forward? Show up and VOTE!

Back to my roots! Check out my discussion of two major cases that will have a major impact both in Florida and nationally. One is on voting - remember that crazy Florida bill last year that passed saying you can’t give water to people on line to vote (among other horrible things)? The court had a LOT to say on that -- including that Florida can't make any changes to voting laws for the next 10 years since they keep messing up so badly!

The second big case cueing up is on the Don’t Say Gay law. Students and teachers are freaking out - rightfully so - and schools have no idea how to comply. It's a violation of free speech, due process, and equal protection.
