I am currently on the grind. With the grind of work, family, church, school, and work again I have many jobs, titles, and goals. Most of all, I have dreams and goals that keep me motivated to continue. We have to stay motivated to continue in order to achieve success in those things that fulfill our purpose. In this episode, I talk about what happens when you are not able to compromise what you do and settle for the ordinary. You decide what defines you, what drives you and what grows you. Keep choosing to stay motivated. We become an example for others as they look to find their way to their purpose.

I had the amazing opportunity to meet with Doreah (Dor-ray-uh) Dean. Doreah is a delightful, energetic brand strategist who continues to empower clients and friends to define their dreams and identify their purpose in all that they do. We had a dynamic conversation about faith, purpose, and hearing God. Doreah is thoughtful, meticulous, and full of analytical skills that have inspired me to reach beyond what I have and connect with what is available to me. Often, we meet people whose depth is far beyond our experience. Doreah is that person. She has navigated "Hollywood" and stepped out to do "Kingdom" business. Doreah is an excellent example of a person who continues to thrive by listening to what God would have her do and following His path. Sometimes we feel disconnected. Our disconnection can be a result of frustration, exhaustion, and discontentment. We need to learn the lesson that we are taught when receiving airline instructions from the flight attendants. We need to put the oxygen mask on ourselves before we can put it on others. We need to take care of ourselves. We need to keep our focus to stay attached to our dreams. We can never stop believing. This episode is one that you can share with others.  We have to remember that FIRST WORDS MATTER. In most situations, if not all. What we begin saying about a situation is what we believe. There have been many situations that I have dealt with that were serious. I have dealt with doctor's reports on my health, issues in my relationships, and circumstances in my workplace. In all these situations, I came to learn that what I said about the situation became what I believed. In this episode, I cover reminders that give you a guide to take the time that you need to review situations and get your perspective and position time to develop what you want to happen.

We've all been there. We have been lenders to friends or family that were in need of money. In this episode, we talk about key guidelines that help you understand what you are doing, when you will be paid back, and why the money that you lend should be money that you may never see again. Money is often the foundation of hurt, misunderstandings, and foolishness in many relationships. We can build trust in relationships when dealing with money, because we know that the relationship is more important than the money. We have to learn how to forgive others who do not repay loans or take advantage of the money given to them. Forgiveness is always more important for us than it is for others. We have to forgive ourselves first. Never let unforgiveness live in your heart. Our lives are so full of light that we cannot allow this darkness in.

I have had this topic on my mind for so many years. My husband and his amazing genes are all around me. All of my children look like him. I have dealt with this for so many years. In my frustration, I prayed to God to let me know why He allowed my kids to look like him. He answered me and told me they looked like both of us. Every internal organ looks just like me! So they are combination children. The outside looks like their Dad and I have their organs covered. 

There is a bigger conversation that is available. What do you look like? Not just in appearances, but in values, kindness, and mannerisms? It is a great question. Who are you following? What do people see when they notice what you bring into the world? Take a look, take a listen—this is food for thought. Keep thinking!
