The past several months has shone a light on major injustice that has been taking place for a really long time. It is important that we, as believers, face the reality that racism is still prevalent in our society and systems. I have seen that many women and men truly want to understand this better and help in making this right, but don’t know where to start, what to say, or how to address this issue.
This is why I sat down, with my friend Tara Hollingsworth, an advocate for racial justice who is also a strong believer and a pastor. In this episode, she clearly communicates some of the most important things you need to know when joining the conversation on racism. She explains some of the terms that you have been hearing such as systemic racism, gentrification, red lining, etc. Tara also answered questions like, what does racism look like on a daily basis, and what can be done to fight against racism?
Tara not only shared some of the basics on these major issues, but also left us with many resources so we can continue this process of understanding better. Make sure to check them out below after you listen!
