After writing and publishing manysuccessful books and magazines in the horror genre, Christopher Pelton has now entered the wrestling space publishing great wrestling books with the firstrelease being "Hot Stuff" Eddie Gilbert: The Uncrowned King of Professional Wrestling. Chris talks to Gene about a number of great wrestling biography projects that are currently in the works to be released later this year and also the fact that just the past week, Gene signed on as one of THC Ringside's resident authors. Plus: they discuss "Pitbull" Gary Wolfe's great new book that's out now, the TWA Philadelphia experience, the process of putting together the Eddie Gilbert book with Doug Gilbert, and much, much more!

On this week's episode Gene Jackson welcomes back "Broadcast" Bob Anderson as they review the June 17, 1985 episode of Texas All-Star Wrestling. Rising from the ashes of Joe Blanchard's Southwest Championship Wrestling, Texas All-Star Wrestling saw more than it's share of future superstars pass through. In this episode a young Shawn Michaels sees action, Bubba the Terminator aka the future "Tugboat/Typhoon" is featured, Alberto Madril & Chavo Guerrero see action, plus the "Honorable" Armand Hussein brings us the "Oriental" Assassin" Kim Duk (better known to WWF fans as Tiger Chung Lee) as well as "Voodoo Malumbo"! On this week's episode Gene Jackson welcomes back Buster "Hellraiser" Johnson to review the July 5th 1997 episode of USWA Championship Wrestling. Buster has some insight on the USWA in this period as he was working there and on this particular episode he was in a match against DOOMSDAY aka Glen Jacobs aka WWE Hall of Famer Kane. July of 1997 was an interesting time in the USWA and this is a very fun episode. We're in the middle of the USWA vs. ECW War as we're building towards an upcoming event 'The Brawl to End it All" where Tommy Dreamer & The Sandman will be coming to Memphis to face Jerry Lawler & Brian Christopher. Plus: King Mabel is on the show, Billy Joe Travis the week after he was arrested and taken to jail on live Memphis television, PJ Walker (aka the future Justin Credible) is here doing an odd character than can only be described as a "White Konnan" gimmick, and much, much more!
