The Revival Fellowship

Delivered by Pastor Brad Smith 22/07/25.

This talk offers a little bit more details about the simplicity of being saved and the guarantee of God's love and blessing.

Delivered by Mitchell Lever 20th July 2025.

God created humanity with various desires and needs to be met through our relationship with him. The world offers alternatives in God's absence. Alcohol is one example. It is important that we understand what alcohol is, how the bible views it's consumption, and God's promise to completely meet our needs (Jhn 6:35).

In doing this, we uphold God's testimony as 'the light of the world, a city set on a hill', we remain 'in the world but not of the world', and we are able to give an answer 'to every man that asks a reason of the hope' that is in us (Mat 5:14, Pet 3:15, 1Per 2:9).

All of us battle with problems in our lives, both big and small. God promises an overcomers resurrection. To overcome our problems God gives us Spiritual armour. God reveals the extent of praying in tongues and some of the many aspects that come into play. God has lovingly revealed the extent of this reality more clearly than we realise.

This talk is an overview of the Book of Revelation (form of apocalyptic literature in scripture) that details a prophets symbolic dreams of visions. It is not a secret code for deciphering the date of Jesus' return. This overview explains history's pattern and God's promise to defeat evil and restore all things new - partnering with those who endure (overcome) by the blood of the lamb and the word of his testimony.

The Name Of The Lord

Delivered by Mitchell Lever 22/06/25.

Throughout the Bible, God is known by many names, These names help us to better understand God's nature toward us. If we don't know who God is or what he can do, we can simply ask his name and he will reveal himself to us!

There is an intriguing scripture in the gospel of John that reveals that our works surpassing that of Christ's. 'John 14:12 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also, and greater works than these shall he do, because I go unto my Father'. It is interesting for two reasons... the first is the statement that we will have the potential to do the works of Christ (miracles)...and the second, which is the most amazing, reveals that we have the potential to do even greater works than Christ... how can that be? What is something that Jesus didn't do, or couldn't do while he was on earth as opposed to what we can do while he is in heaven? The best way to solve this problem is to look at the changes that occurred after he left. We don't need to go too far into the book of Acts to find the answer.

One of the greatest promises we receive from God is the ability to clear our conscience from our human failings and limitations. The reason is obvious when we think about it... it is almost impossible to serve God when we are guilty or worthless. Thus, God reinforces the fact that he is greater than our conscience and he motivates us towards greater and more effective service.

The death and resurrection of Christ enabled God to introduce an far better covenant than the one it replaced. Our covenant begins with the personal anointing (indwelling) of the Holy Spirit. Due to the frailty of human beings, a system is also needed that can successfully deal with our future sins and shortcomings. To meet these needs, God introduced a covenant ruled by mercy and grace (MERCY = Not getting the judgement we deserve. GRACE = Getting forgiveness and blessing we don't deserve). Interestingly, God included one of the great, yet little understood blessings of the Old Testament for our ongoing benefit. This mechanism that keeps us free from our shortcomings is also referred to as 'the sure mercies of David'. These mercies are comprised of deliverance from our enemies and deliverance from ourselves... we no longer need to be victims to anything, especially sin. David's faith provided this covenant promise with God.

No one has ever seen God so our image of him and our understanding of his nature comes from what we read and what we are told. It is vital that as Spirit filled people we present God in the right image and the right likeness. It is very easy to present God from our point of view, but it is far better using the wisdom that God has given us and present him in a more balanced and truthful light... peoples lives depend on this truth.
