This week we said goodbye to our General Manager of Beasley Broadcasting Augusta Kent Dunn...after more than 30 years of service to our listeners.  

We were able to catch up with him on his way out the door...for one last conversation.

Two members of a group challenging local efforts to keep library books off limits to "unsupervised" children in the Columbia County Library joined us Thursday...Many points we agree on, many points we do not...but I always appreciate folks who are willing to come in and articulate their differences and concerns!

We have been told many hundreds of Masters patrons were questioned by security teams at Augusta National last week as they attempted to enter the grounds. Apparently the club was cracking down on the pervasive, but contractually forbidden, third party ticket brokers that have made tickets to the yearly event skyrocket in value on the secondary market.

Scott Friedman is a Cleveland based ticket broker, who also hosts a popular podcast dedicated to the profession called Ticket Talk.  Scott has been particularly critical of the ANGC's stand on this issue.  He joined me Tuesday to discuss...and dropped a bit of a bombshell...that you may not believe. I know I did not!

Columbia County's 4th District Commissioner Alison Couch is retiring...but she wants to move UP and not OUT.  Couch is announcing her candidacy for the Commission Chairmanship currently held by Doug Duncan, who is serving out his final term.  She stopped in to discuss her plans with Austin...
