3:05pm- Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) has stopped enforcement of the Senate’s dress code. Many have speculated the decision was made to accommodate Sen. John Fetterman (D-PA) who has a reputation for wearing hoodies and shorts. On his X social media page, Sen. Fetterman posted: “If those jagoffs in the House stop trying to shut our government down, and fully support Ukraine, then I will save democracy by wearing a suit on the Senate floor next week.”
3:15pm- On Wednesday, Attorney General Merrick Garland testified before the House Judiciary Committee. In his opening statement, Chairman Jim Jordan (R-OH) emphatically said that “everyone knows the fix is in”—documenting instances of political bias within the Justice Department including the incredibly generous plea deal it negotiated with Hunter Biden and his attorneys.
3:20pm- While questioning Attorney General Merrick Garland during Wednesday’s House Judiciary Committee hearing, Rep. Thomas Massie (R-KY) pointed to a double standard within the Justice Department stating: “You indicted [Ray Epps] on a misdemeanor. Meanwhile, you’re sending grandmas to prison.”
3:30pm- During Wednesday’s House Judiciary Committee hearing, Rep. Mike Johnson (R-LA) asked Attorney General Merrick Garland: “Have you had personal contact with anyone at the FBI about the Hunter Biden investigation?” Garland claimed he could not “recollect.” He also refused to directly answer whether he has had discussions about the Hunter Biden criminal probe with Special Counsel David Weiss.

4:15pm- During Wednesday’s House Judiciary Committee hearing, Rep. Tom McClintock (R-CA) accused Attorney General Merrick Garland and the Department of Justice of being “corrupt” and/or “incompetent.” Meanwhile, Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL) asked Garland why the Department of Justice hadn’t opened an investigation into Hunter Biden’s art sales—noting: “How can you guarantee that the people buying that art aren't doing so to gain favor with the President?”

4:45pm- On his podcast “Verdict”, Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX) predicted that the Democratic Party may replace Joe Biden with Michelle Obama at the top of the party ticket in 2024—alleging that Barack Obama runs the Biden Administration behind the scenes.
4:50pm- According to reports, the home of Chicago Bears defensive coordinator Alan Williams was raided by the Federal Bureau of Investigation. Though the reason behind the raid has not yet been made public, Williams has resigned from his position.
5:00pm- On his Sirius XM show, Howard Stern announced that he is “woke.”
5:15pm- While appearing on CNN with host Fareed Zakaria, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff General Mark Milley denied that the U.S. military is “woke”—explaining that he didn’t even know what the word meant.
