What an incredible journey this is has been. I am back in Florida from going through my process and the deep dive into my healing journey from trauma. I can tell you that the journey never ends but the results along the way are amazing. I have very few flashbacks now and if I get one, I am able to deal with it with my tools. My nervous system is healing because I can tell that I don't react or dissociate anymore, I just sit with whatever is coming up for me. This is so empowering. My hope is for all who have experienced trauma that you can witness for yourself freedom in your life.

Why is it that we want to control?

When it certainly does take its toll,

On our souls into the inner parts of myself,

and I am working to bring her off the shelf.

When I know my own truth,

Then I can choose,

How I work with my inner children,

The answers inside no longer hidden.

She used to go into the closet to hide,

Because she knew not that I could provide,

Reparenting her and giving her love,

Requires me to become the transfer of,

The parents that she never felt she had,

Coming home to myself, I am mom and dad.

She did not get what she deserved,

So, she created the construct of being unnerved,

What she deserved, as we all do,

Is feeling nurtured, loved and wanted too.

But if our parents did not know how,

Then we have to take that on right now,

As adults it’s our responsibility,

To take care of our needs and have accountability.

We have the power, yes we do,

No matter what we’ve been told, here is the truth,

Trust in yourself, the answers are there,

You know who you are, you just need to dare.

To connect with what is really real,

That which is inside your heart, what you feel,

Although we have been told something different,

The truth is our feelings are deliberate.

For us to move through our lives,

Especially in the moment and how deep inside,

We know who we are, we must just begin,

To start that journey out of our minds, to win.

The love we have always looked for out there,

And finding out no one really cares,

There’s a reason for that, they have their journeys too,

We need to know that life begins with you,

It’s not about them, it’s about who you are,

And discover inside that rising star.

While on the road heading back to Florida, met some amazing people who are sharing their love and gifts, for healing and connection on this planet and raising consciousness.

In this video, I am interviewing Ethan Vincent who owns Barefoot Gardens, a Camp/Homestead and Learning Center in Vilonia, AR. I stayed the night there on my way back to Florida and was given a tour around the Homestead. So many cool things going on from classes to chicken release to making stone jewelry among other things. I only stayed one night but I am looking forward to the next opportunity where I can stay longer. What a great family and place!

Faith in all things, this is what we are told,

To help us and allow our life to unfold,

The challenge with faith, if we don’t trust ourselves,

Is like walking into a storm, that which compels.

us to assume the faith is out there,

In some far-off place of which many are not aware,

I feel we should know, the faith is deep inside,

And we must release the past, to find where it resides.

Today I have found the relinquishment of fear,

Holding onto generational trauma was keeping me stuck here,

It always had me looking out there,

For the things I am now finding, I can now declare.

The faith, the trust, the love surrounded by,

My Higher Self, on which I can rely.

There is also grace that sits in me,

Waiting on that chance to be free,

From the fear, hurt and trauma I’ve held for so long,

The more of which I release that helps me be strong.

To allow that darkest part of yours truly,

to know light is coming, and now I know she,

has always been in there, no need to roam,

In me she will always find a home.

Yet the biggest thing here that I have learned,

No matter what I thought or have been told, nor what I’ve yearned,

I cannot find the things I seek elsewhere,

It’s coming home to myself; it dwells in there.

There is the faith! There is the truth!

That I dismantled from my youth,

She knew not better, now she does,

The most incredible thing there is Self-Love!

What an incredible journey this is. Learning more and more about what faith is and how it works. I talk about my experience with my mother two years prior to her death and my road to forgiving her before that and since. That mother wound has been difficult for me but I am learning more and more about real unconditional love and self-love through it. I have been building on my faith for a long time now and I am finding these shifts in my experience from traumas throughout my life are so amazingly healing. Thanks for being here with me.

She’s finally seeing who she’s always been,

It got lost in the shuffle and hid deep within,

She was always told to not be loud,

Or to stand out in the crowd.

She had to face that being demure,

Was all they could take, and it left her unsure,

Because she knew that deep inside,

There was a power she could not hide.

It got confusing for years on end,

No one understood her, not even her friends,

And now here in time is a deep reckoning,

The challenge… she always felt she was threatening.

To others and wanted to ensure they felt ok,

And covered who she really was, that is, until today,

She is seeing now that powerful girl,

Who is also gentle and loved to twirl…

In her favorite yellow dress, she adored to wear,

And she also did not mind leaves in her hair.

She loved to play down by the creek,

Sharing with nature her beautiful mystique,

That she had found herself to be,

You see that force of nature is also me.

Finding that my love for myself is pure,

And now I know I need not endure,

To be what others wanted me to,

I am still shifting, this is not through.

Know this about me, I can survive…

I know that my power has kept me alive,

In this journey I chose to take,

This was meant to be, it’s not a mistake.

But survive is not what I choose to do,

It’s my turn to expand and express, it’s true,

I have been searching all of my life,

For the powerful woman, the old beliefs have died.

It cannot happen to us anymore,

We as women need to implore,

Ourselves if we wish to bring life again,

To a planet and people that have been dying from men.

The patriarchy needs to be repealed,

And the teachings of society that harms is revealed,

Yet the toxic feminine must shift, now it’s time,

To heal ourselves and bring us back to sublime.

Remember this, the patriarchy,

Doesn’t just affect women, also men who want to be free,

Please understand, I am not against the male,

But freedom for life for all, on a larger scale.

Whether anyone wants to admit that it’s real,

It is a fact that the feminine does not steal,

What she does is nurture and give,

So all shall have a beautiful place to live.

To live in peace and love and joy,

It’s not the way for us to destroy,

Ourselves and the planet, the only way to deal,

With this is for each woman to heal.

Completely and now we know,

This is the time as #metoo really grows,

So everyone knows that what they were told,

About the feminine is so we all could be controlled.

The toxic masculine, toxic feminine is now done,

We all must shift if we want to be as One,

To bring peace to the Earth, it’s what we must do,

It’s time we heal ourselves and begin anew.

This was an interesting test. I recorded this on both my phone and Zoom on my laptop (which I normally do). I was in a coffee shop and wanted to see what would be the easiest. So that didn't work out and I just did it the usual way. Anyway, I was going through coming over a hurdle about myself and my truth last year and I was digging into both my world and myself. Even now, at this time, I am in a space of getting ready to begin anew and I share what it was like then and now.

I’ve got to go… I’ve got to go…

Into this void, it must be so,

I am scared, What is in there?

I do not know, I must prepare.

Prepare for what, I do not know,

Another chance for me to grow,

Inside my heart, inside my soul,

I must prepare, stay in control!

All of a sudden, a still small voice,

Says to me, “You cannot avoid…”

“going into the darkness, it is safe within,”

“you need not plan, you only begin.”

Surrender is the way, you see,

Faith and trust in God and me,

Time to go and it must be soon,

Into the darkness, into my cocoon.

What happens there, I disappear,

It turns me into a ball of fear,

But wait that voice keeps following,

Me as I keep hoping.

That nothing is scary or dangerous,

The fear is only on the surface,

As long as I trust and go inside,

I will be ok, I won’t have to hide.

For you see, the other thing,

Inside is a light that is glistening,

It may only just begin as a spark,

And a fire that grows, which lightens the dark.

The fire itself reminds me so well,

Of the Phoenix rising, as opposed to the hell.

I have been living inside myself,

For an eternity and could not be expelled,

From the pain and heartache, I had endured,

Only helped me to grow and now I am sure.

That the beautiful spark I now see is no longer contained,

I have found who I am and have much to gain,

From these ah-hah moments I keep on gleaning,

Now the void has so much more meaning.

As I go through this each and every day,

I sit with it and I have to say,

It’s not so scary, I am still alive,

I’m close to revealing that I have arrived!

The past week has been all about Rebirth for me from my birthday on August 3rd through Sunday with an experience of connection and finding out that although I didn't feel as though I loved, that was a lie I told myself throughout my life. From the celebrations with my friends in Oklahoma, to the cake, to the painting parties, to the love, love, love received and given, I find I am blessed, loved and supported by many in my life. The icing on the cake was when I shared about my 40th High School Reunion, which I ended up not being able to attend, about how I felt as a teen in high school that contributed to what went on in my life. I connected anyway with so many people from that post, I was in awe. Thank you all for being in my life! I love you and I am so grateful.

I forgot to mention my eye, which I tried to “make up” for by putting makeup on the other eye, to match. It didn’t work out too well, you can still see the puffy. And… wait… you should see the other guy!

In this video, I decided to interview Gary and Debra on the work they are doing with turning pallets into artwork for your home. They made me a tray/headboard for the back of my car for when I sleep in it and as you can see, they are so artistic with their expression of love. A little more "bad hair day" and meshing the pronunciation of "mandala." Eh... to-ma-to or to-mah-to. Hahaha... anyway, just wanted to share my dear friends because of this and their generosity. Beautiful souls, they are. In one of the shots is a kitchen they made for their grand-daughters which I neglected to mention. So cool!

This video is the Final Podcast conversation between me and Valerie before I leave Colorado. We go over what this journey of my staying with her from an invitation after the S2-E11 interview I did with her, to stay. I learned a lot in this time and our friendship grew deeper. I am grateful to her for this opportunity. We shared many moments of healing and we discuss a few of them here. Learning to live with and be friends with a female has always been difficult for me from the Mother Wound and she provided a safe environment for me to heal and vice-versa. And we had a lot of fun too!

You must be nice, they use to say,

The truth of me began to fall away,

When I was just a little girl,

I was taught to be nice and later this unfurled.

There was a time when my answer was “yes,”

All the time and can you guess,

What that did to me, it became a fight,

Inside of me for what was right.

It is ok, just to be nice,

Unless it puts your soul in a vice,

As little girls that’s how we were taught to be,

I can tell you this, that isn’t always me.

And it really shouldn’t be that way,

When we are nice to everyone, every day,

What about those that break our hearts,

Or treat us like we are carts.

Pushing us around each and every day,

We are stronger than that, not to let what you were told get in the way,

The shoulds have destroyed our very being,

And it’s time to look inside and begin seeing,

That it’s ok to say the word no,

Don’t worry about where that will go.

The challenge, I’ve found, is living with loss,

Like if I say no, that is the cost,

I will lose everyone that I hold dear,

But that is nothing but a fear.

That I’ve not been good enough to stand on my own,

And now there is something I’m being shown,

The showing is not out there, I find,

Because out there is where I’m left behind.

What I am seeing is something deep inside,

The truth of me, where my entire life I have had to hide,

Who am I in there? I’m finding is not so mild,

My inner beauty is something quite wild.

And in society, the powers that be,

Told me over again, they didn’t want to see,

The wild, I am, this child, indeed,

Was painfully made, to this, agreed,

With what they wanted and not who I am,

This isn’t right, it’s just a scam.

Why is it, then, I cannot just be me,

And live my beauty so others will see,

That I am who I am and no other, it’s true,

Who I’ve been as I withdrew…

Into desperately knowing there was something else,

And in fighting myself, oh, what a mess,

To this point in my life where it is time to take flight,

And show myself that I am right,

About the person that I be,

That wild woman is being set free!

On Being Nice is a recognition of truth for me and how I tried to keep people in my life, no matter how I was treated because I loved them. I didn't want them to leave because of my fear of being alone. I struggle through this for many years and realized that, as women, we are taught to put everyone else first. This completely diminished my sense of self to the point where I was lost and stuck. I share my thoughts of what being nice was for me. I also shared a couple of tools to help calm the nervous system - hands on heart and breathing and also bilateral stimulation through tapping on your shoulders. As well, I shared a book that really helped me out called, "The Good Girl Jail, When You Dare to Live from Your True Self" by Sandra Felt.
