What's Up, Ladies!

Today we are talking about Ungracious Assumptions. How we react to things that happen in our lives can be so indicative of the posture of our hearts. It's so easy to react toward people without grace and to assume things about them that aren't true based on our own selfish perspective.

We have both been very convicted by this concept recently, and we also think that it is a particular problem for women. Hopefully, this podcast is an encouragement for all of us to respond with more grace and love toward people. Ultimately, ol' Johnny Baptist said it best: "He must increase; I must decrease" (John 3:30). Also, you know what they say about assumptions, right?

What's Up, Buddies!

Today we have an impromptu talk about submission. Learning how to be a submissive wife is a slow, sharpening process. As two people who are young in age & relationships (Tori has been married for two years, and Payton will be getting married in December), we are still very much learning the day-to-day of submission. 

We both know that Scripture compels us to submit willingly & joyfully, but our sinful & selfish hearts make doing so difficult at times. Thanks be to God for continually showing us that he is good & trustworthy. He will be right alongside us as our hearts of stone become hearts of flesh.

We don't tell you what to wear in this episode. 

We just talk about modesty, what it is, what it ISN'T, & why you should care as a Christian female. Modesty goes WAY beyond covering your clavicle so your Christian brother doesn't stumble. It isn't a female only issue AND it isn't just an outside of the body issue.

This episode is an important one. Payton and I both have recently felt the need to repent of the Enneagram. We do not believe it is biblical or uplifting, and we talk about that! To supplement this episode, I also wrote a blog post explaining the issues we have as well. That post includes sources we used to come to our conclusions, as well as more information that we didn't get into! 

We hope this episode is uplifting to listeners who are struggling with certain idols (enneagram related or not!). For freedom we have been set free!
