Continuing in our series through the book of John, we take time to learn what it actually means to abide in Christ.
Marty Esparza
John 15:1-16, 16:16-33
What would change in our life if we believed God's presence is with us forever (right now)? What would change in how we treat our neighbors if we believed God's presence is with us forever (right now)? God is with us forever (today) because Jesus prepared the way.
LaShaude James
John 14:5-31
As we examine Jesus’ resurrection, we hone in on LIVING beauty in a broken world. We can look at something from the past, a piece of art, a past relationship, a former job, and so on with admiration and appreciation, but the Story of God, the Story of the Bible is not past tense. It’s not simply something that happened back then and we are admiring and appreciating what happened then. The resurrection points us to the reality that the Story continues on with us, but it’s contingent on this good news of Christ’s resurrection.

John 20:1-23, John 19:28-30 & 38-42
Our mission statement here at The Rim is to create space for people to discover the BEAUTY of Jesus. We believe that the beauty of Jesus is not something of the past, it’s alive. His majesty, glory, and beauty is something we as his church are called to emulate and reflect. The space we create for people to discover the beauty of Jesus primarily happens outside of this space on Sundays. Everyone has been given a masterpiece mission a space God has called you to fill with his beauty.

John 11:17-46, John 12:9-11
Your pain is not without purpose. Your experience is part of something bigger than yourself. This is one of the great mysteries and tension points of God’s story. Isn’t life supposed to get better when I follow Jesus? It depends on what you mean by get better and by whose standard.

John 9
What will set you free? What does it really mean to be free? What’s keeping us from freedom? As we create space for people to discover the beauty of Jesus our circle must become one of truth telling. It’s in that space of honesty that the face of Jesus becomes tangible and freedom comes home.

Everyone has a fundamental belief about our origin- who or what gave us our existence, made us who we are, shaped us into the person we are today. In a workshop style, we walk through strategic ways to answer those questions by sharing stories and testimonies on how God moves in our lives.
