In Psalm 2 we read a coronation Psalm for a Davidic king of Israel. This Psalm also points toward the true king Jesus. We crave a ruler who will show us the way forward and will never let us down. Jesus is the only true king that we can trust with our lives.

In today's episode, we explore the concept of rest in the book of Hebrews. The Hebrew writer takes the concept of rest found in Psalm 95 as well as Genesis 2 and shows how Jesus gives us ultimate rest. Jesus has accomplished our salvation and in Jesus, we find true rest. In some sense, our rest begins when we are saved but we do not enter ultimate rest until we go with Jesus to the promised land of Heaven.
