Psalm 23 is a song of trust written by David, portraying God as both a tender Shepherd and a generous Host. It reminds us that even in our darkest valleys, we are never alone—God walks with us, protects us, and prepares a table of grace in the midst of our enemies. His goodness and mercy don’t just follow us—they pursue us, assuring us that in Him, we are always home.

1 John 2:3–6 teaches that knowing God is not just a matter of words or feelings, but is demonstrated through obedience to His commands. Those who claim to abide in Christ must walk as Jesus walked—living lives marked by love, integrity, and faithfulness. This passage challenges believers to examine whether their lives truly reflect the character of the Savior they profess to follow.

Jesus ends the Sermon on the Mount with a striking image: two builders, one wise and one foolish. How can we know that we truly know God? According to 1 John 2:3–6, the answer is simple yet challenging: obedience. Those who abide in Christ will walk as He walked—living lives marked by truth, love, and faithful obedience to God’s commands.

Psalm 51:1–12 is a heartfelt confession of sin and plea for mercy, written by David after his failure with Bathsheba. It highlights the depth of human brokenness and the hope of renewal through God’s steadfast love and abundant mercy. David longs not only for forgiveness but for a clean heart and a restored spirit that rejoices again in God’s salvation.
