She’s been helping women and La Crosse citizens since the 1970’s and has accomplished much, from starting the first La Crosse Family Planning Center to being the director. Let’s not forget fighting to increase funds for our school district. She’s an active member in many organizations such as the League of Women Voters and has made a difference in many lives. A woman who made a difference in the world, Anita Froegel is no ordinary woman. She had a child, saved a company, and became a major contributor to the McLoone’s company; that’s who I want to be when I grow up! Only a woman filled with determination and passion could have done what this being has. She has become a vice chairwoman on the county board, helped start many programs such as Gifted Hands, has been involved in many corporations like the Mini Bus, and just so much more. She started out as a volunteer, but has now become a role model. Her vision of being heard truly became a reality. She has honestly done what many dream of.
