This week members of the graduating class of 2023 from Graphic Design, stopped by The Roar to talk about their upcoming graduation show, where they get to showcase their skills and portfolios from the final year of their program. They are so excited to share their designs and talk about their experiences, and wanted to ensure the Sault College Community was aware of the event. And Julia, a member of Ambassadors For Success and a first year Digital Film Production student, wanted to share her experiences and love of the Digital Film Production program with the College community, and any prospective students listening to The Roar. Julia stopped by with Professor Candace Day to talk about the program and the exciting opportunities that await our graduates.

Esha and Darma came to chat with Larissa about what Summer looks like in the Sault.

They have lots of great tips about what to do, where to go and how to prepare if this is your first summer in Northern Ontario.

Darma and Larissa also talk about the upcoming International Orientation for the Spring intake. If you are an International student starting a new program in the 23' Spring, save the date!

The Application to Graduate is now live on the Student Portal!

This important form lets us know if graduating students are intending to come to Convocation in June, allows you to update your information so we can mail your Diploma to the right address, if you are not attending the Convocation ceremonies and ensures that you'll have tickets for your families.

There is also a really important little check box on there that we want you to check, Tyler from Alumni stops be to explain why.

Also, April 1st was our Fall 2023 Open House! It was a great success despite the wintery weather, and if you are joining us for the first time today because you saw our banner up and decided to listen in, welcome! We are so excited to share our College community with you!

A4S also has a chat with incoming members of the Sault College Student Union, and the Success Teams very own Larissa Lima, interviews the new President of the Indigenous Student Council.

We're looking into the future this week at two big events coming up for the Sault College community.

Cram Jam on March 27th; looking for some effective study strategies? Some extra advice on how to prepare for your finals, Cram Jam is the event for you!

And on April 1st, Sault College throws open our doors to welcome prospective students and their families as they visit Sault College, to see our wonderful campus and learn more about their programs of choice for Fall 2023.

Ambassadors For Success asked fellow students to nominate those professors or support staff members who had a positive impact on their college experience so far. We received lots of nominations, but one particular cohort of students went out of their way to make sure their professor received the most nominations. Wondering who that was? Reema our Student Success Assistant also takes over The Roar to highlight the latest Sault College Student Union elections and interviews, as a new board and executive will be taking their seats this coming May; wondering which students will be taking over the reins at SCSU, listen in to meet a few of the new members!

And Kala Adams, the Program Manager at SCSU gives us an overview of what students can look forward to during the Winter Break.
