  • Ep. 221 - Gov. Eric Holcomb
Hello, and welcome to The Rob Burgess Show. I am, of course, your host Rob Burgess.
On this, our 221st episode our guest is Gov. Eric Holcomb.
Eric Holcomb is the 51st governor of the state of Indiana.
Starting in March 2020, I had the opportunity to participate virtually in dozens and dozens of televised press conferences with Gov. Holcomb and other state officials. These were mostly centered around the COVID-19 pandemic, but other topics were also discussed. Here is a complete list: https://www.thisburgess.com/2022/01/televised-press-conferences-and.html
The is actually the second year in a row I have been invited to sit down for a one-on-one interview with Gov. Holcomb at the Governor's Office at the Indiana Statehouse. Last year, I did so in my role as Editor of the Wabash Plain Dealer. This year, Gov. Holcomb was a guest of The Rob Burgess Show.
Thank you to Gov. Holcomb and his staff especially governor's fellow Abriana Carnes and press secretary Erin Murphy for taking the time and for helping to set this up.

  • Ep. 218 - T. E. Breitenbach
Hello and welcome to The Rob Burgess Show. I am, of course, your host, Rob Burgess.
On this our 218th episode, our guest is T. E. Breitenbach.
    T. E. Breitenbach, born in 1951 in Queens, New York, is a self-taught American artist best known for his painting "Proverbidioms", a raucous and comical depiction of over 300 common proverbs and clichés. He also collaborated with Jim Morrison of The Doors, shortly before Morrison's 1971 death, on a painting intended for use on his "An American Prayer" album. T. E. was the youngest person to receive a Rome Prize Fellowship in visual arts. Inspired by the castles and museums of Europe, he returned home determined to build a castle-studio to house his art and eventually become a museum. During the planning stages he painted Proverbidioms and later published it. He also writes musicals and in 2016 produced "Hieronymus, A Musical Fantasy", the story of an artist with a 'too-large' imagination, available as play-on-demand on PBS. His websites include TEBreitenbach.com and OurMusical.com.
