Nate is a husband, father and therapist based out of Bethesda, MD. As a former athlete, Nate saw how many athletes and young men were suffering with mental health problems without an outlet.  Nate graduated with his Bachelors in Social Work from Catholic University and then went on to receive his Masters in Social Work from Columbia University. Nate’s experience has been shaped by practicing in a number of settings including community clinics and Intensive Outpatient and Partial Hospitalization Programs. Nate’s experience led him to opening his own practice, The Calming Mind. The Calming Mind is a well-rounded psychotherapy practice that specializes in working with adolescents young adults and their families, those who experienced trauma, and Men’s Mental Health.

Today’s guest, Chris Zavadowski, is an entrepreneur, theater artist, and cancer advocate based in northern Virginia. For the last 20 years he has run his own award-winning digital marketing and publishing company. He is also a theater professional, directing, music directing, and performing in stage productions. He recently music directed a new production of West Side Story and before that was in Riverside Center’s acclaimed production of Bright Star. He was also the Resident Director for the new version of Broadway’s Amazing Grace and currently oversees its worldwide licensing. Because of his family’s unique cancer journey, Chris Zavadowski is a voice for caregivers working tirelessly behind-the-scenes for their loved ones. He is a strong advocate for clinical trials and research. Currently, Chris serves as an Ambassador for the Lymphoma Research Foundation and is a top fundraiser for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.

Hilary Cole is a lifelong Maryland resident about to make her first move out of state with her husband, Ayman. After graduating from Salisbury University, they settled down on MD's Eastern Shore. An adventurer at heart, Hilary hopes to expand her horizons with her travels, new experiences, and further education. As an HR professional in the Cannabis industry, she is passionate about weed and fighting the stigma against it. Next on her plate is getting certified as a sex educator so she can put her training & public speaking skills to work in an underserved field. In her leisure time, Hilary writes, plays No Man's Sky, goes hiking, seeks out delicious food and drinks, and enjoys bonfires with Ayman and their friends.
