Statistically, Over 6 million men suffer from depression per year, but male depression often goes underdiagnosed.

Men tend to fall into dangerous, self-destructive behaviors rather than seek professional help for their mental health. They may avoid or delay seeking treatment because of concerns about being treated differently, or due to perceptions that having a mental health issue diminishes their masculinity. Rejection is real. Besides who likes rejection? No one does! It doesn’t feel good. You may not be picked for the team. God has a purpose and plan for you and me. King David is a great example, because he was not the first to be chosen among his 7 brothers. He did not have the appearance of a king, however he did have a pure heart. God knew that David was a man after His own heart. He ended up being one of the greatest kings in Israel and pinned most of the book of Psalms. David was a Shephard, Worshipper, Musician, and a Prophet. Just know that God has a plan for you; just like He had for David. Don’t allow man’s ways to determine your destiny or your worth. God values you, accepts you and loves you. Whenever you feel rejected, welcome it, embrace it and walk in it. Man’s rejection of you and God’s protection of you! God created us with a plan and a purpose. Life is full of challenges, disappointments, and setbacks. Every journey has a destination and God uses them to grow us up in many areas. Most of our journeys don’t look like our destination(God’s plan and purpose for our lives). The Bible says in Proverbs 16:9, “A man’s heart plans his way, But the Lord directs his steps.” As a result, we should never judge a person based on their journey. When God gives a Word to us, the enemy comes immediately to attack us so that the Word won’t grow in us. The enemy does not want us to infect our sphere of influence to the glory of God. If we are dealing with a struggle or simply feel like we are under attack count it as a compliment. We are a terror to the kingdom of darkness and evil forces are trying to stop us! We all have fears we deal with. God has given us the courage to overcome fears and dominate them. Fear brings torment with it, but God’s completed love in us cast out fear!
