The two biggest news stories in a while were both happening in a 24 hour period, so Ronn talked with US Congressman Ro Khanna about them. First was the testimony by Michael Cohen yesterday in front of the House Oversight Committee. Ro was one of the questioners, and unlike many of his Democratic colleagues used his time to the fullest, questioning Cohen about finances both in the Trump Organization and the Administration. Like everyone, Ronn was glued to the radio this morning to hear Michael Cohen's testimony before the House Oversight Committee. So today's report gave him the opportunity to talk about what was said. Realistically, few if any minds were changed. If you're a Trump supporter, you focused on the fact that he has been convicted of lying before Congress, so why believe him now? If you dislike the President, you focus not only on the charges he made, but also the physical proof he provided to back his allegations. Today marks the first of three appearances on Capitol Hill for former Trump personal attorney Michael Cohen, so we talked with CNN Legal Analyst Elle Honig to give us some background. Today Cohen goes in front of the Senate Intelligence Committee, tomorrow the House Oversight Committee and Thursday the House Intelligence Committee. Last night's Oscars telecast generated lots of discussion, so we asked Ann Hornaday, Chief Film Critic for the Washington Post to join us. She thought the show was quite good, felt it didn't need a host, enjoyed the Queen opening and the Tina Fey, Amy Pohler and Maya Rudolf banter and overall agreed with the results. She did however, have mixed feelings about "The Green Book" as best picture. One of the most fun celebrations in San Francisco each year is the Chinese New Year Parade. It happens tomorrow and we were joined by Stephen Chun, one of the emcees of this great event. This is the Year of the Pig, and Stephen explained the attributes people born during this cycle possess, along with explaining the  whole concept of these different years. his morning another US Senator (this makes six) joined the 2020 Presidential race. This time it was Bernie Sanders. We talked with Washington Examiner Senior Political Correspondent David Drucker about his chances and his stands. David made some very interesting points including:..He is not by any stretch the most liberal candidate running. If anything, he shares trade beliefs with President Trump...In 2016 his late entry into the race had the benefit of no substantial opponent research. On this President's Day we welcomed KGO Radio Host and Presidential expert John Rothmann  to the Report. First discussed is whether Donald Trump can ever truly be studied objectively. John felt after two years in office, he could. John looked at his record internationally and domestically and it tends to justify a feeling (certainly in the Bay Area) that he is the worst President in our lifetime. They talked about whether he was truly a Republican (John says no) and whether he would be impeached (Ronn says no.)
