The Rooftop Podcast

Whether it be leading an effort to Honor The Promise to our at risk Afghan Allies after the US withdrawal, or in leading your SLT at work or your neighbors in an effort to create a park or a lead a baseball team, nobody else is coming. How do we create the Upswing on our own, how do we guide like minded individuals to come together to create a movement that serves the common good. Nobody Else is Coming. It's just us, you...and me.

Join me on the Rooftop and let's figure this out together, because, Nobody Else is Coming.

As we enter into the 20th anniversary of the terrorist attacks of 911 2001, it’s important that we take a moment or two to reflect and tell the story.

It’s the only way to find healing and peace from the pain  - through the power of story.

I’ll see you on the Rooftop...

In this day and age, of modern technology and transactional mindset, building something bigger than yourself can be one of the most challenging and intimidating things we do as leaders. It can cause you to ask some really tough questions of yourself and question everything you’re about. We will explore that in this episode.

Telling the story of big events is one of the most important things we can do as leaders. But what do you do when the most well intended narratives spin off into the stratosphere and take a direction you never intended? How do you correct the record? How do you ensure the story that matters the most is told with on the authenticity and truth?

I'll see you on the Rooftop,

Scott

As the timeline in Afghanistan for US support draws to a close, the Afghan people, and Combat veterans in Task Force Pineapple who support them, must realize something very important. No one else is coming.

It’s just us.

We must honor the promise to recover our American citizens and Afghan allies trapped behind enemy lines.

Join us for this Rooftop episode to learn how you can help us do that and punch above your weight in your own life in the process.

Today at least 12 American Service members gave their lives in sacrifice in a horrid terrorist attack as our heroes at the Kabul airport try to beat the deadline and get our citizens out.

Join me in front of the white boards that provided clarity and context as we worked together to guide our people out of Afghanistan. Operation Pineapple will continue as long as possible to honor their sacrifice and do our best to continue their mission.

“As the chaos in Afghanistan continues and the people spiral into the draconian rule of the Taliban and many of them face certain execution and torture, American Special Forces Veterans and Private Citizens are stepping up to fill the role that the U.S. Government is not. What does it take to lead like that? How can you take a page from this for leading in your own life. Join us and find out.”

I’ve been putting this off, but I wanted to share this podcast with you all - it’s “storytelling in real time" about what is happening in Afghanistan and solving hard problems when the world falls apart.

In this episode, I’m going to share with you how an informal group of leaders from all over the country came together in a matter of days to save one Afghan Commando from the chaos in Afghanistan. Inside this episode, you’ll find stories and lessons for how you lead your people when the storm clouds are darkest.
