We started a new series this week! It begins with an introduction to the book of Colossians. We answer the 4 questions, Who and Where is this letter coming from, Who and Where is this letter going to, What does it say and How does it apply to us?

As we get good at Equipping Disciples we have to get good at sending them into their calling or we run the risk of being hope killers. In Proverbs 13:12 it says "Hope deferred makes the heart sick, but a longing fulfilled is a tree of life." Being prepared, empowered and sent to use our gifts to honor God brings great joy and life.

Now that we've seen the beautiful work of God working through us to Reach ALL Lost by attraction and mission, invited newly adopted members into the family and learned to Disciple ALL Found by teaching them to obey all that Jesus commanded, it is time to talk about preparing a disciple to go in to their calling. Every single follower of Christ has been called to walk out His mission in a unique way. Our goal is to equip you for the life and leadership roles that God has called you to.

Merry Christmas from The Roots! This message is all about the gift of the Gospel. Christmas time is where we get to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ, the savior of the world. Join in the celebration with us!

Once someone has given their life to Jesus it is paramount that they are taught how to know Him more and follow Him better. It is our responsibility as His church to partner with the Holy Spirit in the growth of new believers.

The bridge that takes us and others from the first Pillar "Reach ALL Lost" to the second Pillar "Disciple ALL Found" is Covenant Relationship with God and His church. God is a God of covenant relationship. Having given Himself to us He now asks that we give ourselves to Him and He provides the strength to do so. Covenant with God is by His provision and exists by His terms.

Some people need help removing the barriers to get to Jesus. If we can get them to the feet of Jesus anything can happen. Some people will not come regardless of how we try to compel them. We must take Jesus to them. With Jesus on the scene anything can happen!

Today we will look at God's heart for the lost both near and far. We will do so by looking at the parables of the lost sheep, the lost coin and the lost son found in Luke 15.

The challenge is to start planning now on how to live a radically devoted life in 2014 based on the principals that we've explored in this book. That by making a one year commitment we are expectant of great benefits in our personal walk with God and with fruit in our radical investments.
