Jana Rose reads a story she published by Cagibi Literary Journal last year, "Me and a Tape," based on the Tori Amos song, "Me and a Gun." It is about a middle school girl who is isolated in her life, but hears a woman's song (Tori Amos) through her headphones, and feels not so alone anymore. The story explores themes of rape, abuse, trauma, and struggling to find one's way out of the darkness.

This story was published in Inkwell Journal, No. 35, Spring 2020, under the theme "Sanctuary." Author is Jana Rose.
