THANKS TO Raeford Guns and Hoke County Edition of North State Journal.

Local Elections: The Candidates and the Process
In our recent episode, we discussed the candidates running for the board of commissioners seats. James Leach and Bobby Wright have filed for reelection, and we anticipate primaries if more than two candidates show up. We also touched on the candidates running for other positions, such as register of deeds and judgeships. We expressed our thoughts on the lack of a primary for the commissioner race and mentioned that candidate events would still take place. We also discussed the filing process for unaffiliated voters and mentioned a candidate who did not meet the requirements. We shared our opinions on the candidates and their qualifications, highlighting the experience of some candidates and their familiarity with the community. We also noted that one candidate has run for a position before

Upcoming Primary Elections: What to Expect
We also discussed the upcoming primary elections and the candidates running for different positions. We noted that there won't be a primary for the judge's seat and the district attorney position. However, there is a Democrat running in Moore County. We also mentioned a challenger for the superintendent of public instruction position. We praised Judge Warren McSweeney for his generosity during Hurricane Matthew, where he provided generators to those in need. We then discussed the upcoming primary date and the importance of registering to vote. We also discussed the top three priorities for the Republican National Committee, which include border security, the economy, and holding the Congress accountable. We also briefly touched on other topics such as abortion, Israel, Ukraine, climate change, and voting issues.

    Immigration and Other Concerns
Ruben Castellon expressed concerns about immigration and the financial burden it places on taxpayers. We argued that even if there are only three million undocumented immigrants in the US, the cost of providing them with healthcare, education, and housing is significant. We blamed the Biden administration for the current state of affairs and criticized the lack of secure borders.Chris Holland also highlighted the decline in active duty troops in the US military and the challenges of recruiting qualified individuals. We attributed this decline to a lack of patriotism and the shifting purpose of the military. We agreed that patriotism is not being taught in public schools and that there is a growing trend of hating America. The conversation then touched on various topics, including Hunter Biden's subpoena, Pope Francis' stance on same-sex unions, and instances of anti-Semitism in tax-supported schools.

    A Call to Action
We concluded by urging listeners to exercise their constitutional right to vote and to remember that the role of the government is to protect rights, not grant them. We also encouraged listeners to get involved in their communities and to have a safe and happy new year.

Remembering the True Meaning of Christmas
Ruben reminded listeners to remember the true meaning of Christmas, emphasizing that it is not about Santa Claus but about Jesus Christ. I agreed with this sentiment and said "amen." We concluded the episode by saying we will see the listeners next time for another episode with Hal Nunn, Ruben Castellon, and Chris Holland.
