The Government has released documents about Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor's appointment as an international trade envoy, a role the former Prince served in from 2001 to 2011. The documents include a memo that reveals the Queen was 'very keen' for her second son to take on the job, and that Andrew stated he preferred visiting 'sophisticated countries'.
Royal biographer Angela Levin joins Ian Collins to discuss the relationship between the Queen and Andrew and how that influenced this appointment, and what else we know about Andrew's time in the role.

King Charles and Queen Camilla had a packed second day of his royal tour of the U.S. After a military welcome at the White House - where Donald Trump joked about his mother having a crush on the King - the King then delivered a historic speech to Congress, where he advocated for the UK-U.S. Special Relationship, Ukraine, NATO, and the environment. That was all before a swanky state dinner - where Trump alleged during his speech that the King agreed with his position that Iran shouldn't have a nuclear weapon.
On this episode of The Royal Tea, Jeremy Kyle is joined by Talk's Royal Correspondent Rupert Bell to discuss the tour - with Bell calling in the most important days of the King's reign so far, and how the tour is reiterating the Royal Family's role in representing Britain.
And Talk reporter Samara Gill joins Jeremy to discuss how Charles is showcasing the best of Britain and putting a real charm offensive on to win over Trump.
And Julia Hartley-Brewer is joined by Dickie Arbiter, former Press Secretary to Queen Elizabeth II, discuss the King's soft diplomacy during his speech, and how the personal relationships play a key role in diplomatic relations.

An ad showcasing the outfit Meghan Markle wore when visiting victims and first responders of the Bondi shooting has been pulled after significant backlash. The Duchess of Sussex partnered with the site OneOff to sell versions of the outfits she wore on her Australian 'royal tour'. But when the outfit she wore after the Bondi Beach visit appeared in ad, a wave of criticism erupted, accusing Markle of profiting from the moment. The ad has since been deleted.
On this episode of The Royal Tea, Mark Dolan is joined by Talk’s Royal Correspondent Rupert Bell, who says it is not clever for Meghan to commercialise her appearance at Bondi Beach, and adds to the unedifying feeling of the entire trip.
