The protests in Iran over the murder of Mahsa Amini are so important to the world as they represent human rights of women. And this is something we need to all speak up and make our voices heard. I had a girl on my social media hit me up in the dm's on my Instagram to ask if I would share an article regarding Mahsa Amini and I thought to myself, this is so relevant and so important that I would love to have this person on my show.

Edmonton based Iranian, Fara Armanieh joined me to talk about her experience growing up in Iran and leaving the country when she was 11 years old. We also talked about the history behind the hijab and how it started to become enforced in Iran. As you may know, several Iranian women are taking off their hijabs and lighting them on fire due to the unrest after the killing of Mahsa Amini.

The world just is amazed at David Beckham queueing at the Queen’s funeral over the weekend. But why? Isn’t he just another human being trying to pay his respects to the queen. Maybe, but the fact that he did not use his celebrity status to jump the line ought-to teach us something about humility, character and servitude. We are all equal, nobody is more or less than you.

Reportedly back in July of 2022, Google senior vice president Prabhakar Raghavan told the Fortune Brainstorm Tech conference that according to Google’s internal studies, “something like almost 40% of young people when they’re looking for a place for lunch, they don’t go to Google Maps or Search, they go to TikTok or Instagram.“

This is massive given that Google themselves admitted that TikTok was gobbling up a huge part of their search traffic. For years, Google has had a massive market share when it comes to how we as a society get our information.
