- The Holiday Toons That Made Us: Rudolph, Bluey, Rocko and More!
The holidays are here, and Adrian and Emma wrap up the first half of Season 2 and 2023 as a whole by reminiscing about the classic and modern animated Christmas specials they grew up with or grew fond of over the years! After a look back at this year in animation (with a nod to the Barbenheimer phenomenon), Emma talks about a Food Network annual tradition that's back for another year, Holiday Baking Championship, and their fascination with the baking reality competition series.
Season 2 resumes with 2B on January 16, 2024!

With only so much available time to record this week's episode, Adrian and Emma try to get through the discussions as quickly as possible! The co-hosts discuss about the oversaturation of Taylor Swift—thanks to an opinion piece written by Trent Phillips for his own blog/podcast, The Foul Line—and the possibility of Coyote vs. Acme finding a second life at another distributor after Warner Bros. cancelled its release. Then, in celebration of indie animation, Adrian and Emma discuss about the pilots for the Lackadaisy and The Amazing Digital Circus web animated series, including what made these two pieces stand out amongst one another compared to recent works put out by larger studios.

Continuing the podcast's 3 for Halloween series this month, Adrian and Emma take a virtual visit to Blithe Hollow and talk about ParaNorman—but not before divulging in a modern AU of the Laika Studios lead characters with Kubo running a coffeeshop (thanks to news of Kubo's voice actor Art Parkinson's assumption of ownership and operation of The Coffee Tree in Derry, Northern Ireland, UK). Once that discussion concludes, Adrian makes light of what's been going on at the sofa of ITV's This Morning programme, following the respective departures of its co-hosts, Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby, and what might come next for the embattled UK daytime show.
