As a York student, has it ever ponder to why some undergraduates/graduates view Law students as separate or isolated from the totality of the university? If not, this conversation addresses this subject matter through the experiences of students from Osgoode Law School. Please welcome Karan, Piraveena, and Lucinda: Three fantastic individuals who share a strong relationship with each other, but also the passion towards the various realms of Law. Except Criminal Law... they'll tell you that personally. This week on the podcast, I share my experience at York University. Everything that could possibly be mentioned: The ups and downs, the good, bad, and ugly. Heading into my fourth and hopefully final year, I've learned so much in and out of the BUSO program, allowing to grow as an individual, but also as a version of myself that appreciates others' work. Getting involved with student club and making those connections, to obtaining skills in the lecture halls, even going out to social events, albeit I wasn't a party animal. Nevertheless, I open up to you guys about my university career and what you made see as rage when listening to this episode, it's only the passion I have every time I step on campus, or in this case, online to partake in a day with York.

This week, I discuss the importance and prestige of Music Award Shows. We remember watching these as a child, defining them as super shows that couldn't be toppled. Fast forward, it's hard to make that same argument as fans and even artists have express their lack of intrigue to these award shows (Grammys, Billboard, BET, VMAs). Many reasons have to do with the increase of live concert events like Rolling Loud and Coachella, as well award committees informal structure to making these award shows and category selection adequate. So how would I fix it?

What is Community work without any action? How much effort do we put into the community before we ask ourselves... What's the end goal? This week, I talk on two perspectives for working for the community and working within the community. How can we evaluate both and find common ground to obtain the results and achieve the next steps we plan that are either restricted, limited, or never completed. But most importantly, how can we apply our experience to community work and utilize it for our own goals we want to set that benefits us, while at the same time, helping out the community.
