The Salty Talk

This week the cold weather blew in some extra opportunities to show the love of Jesus in the streets through providing showers at the warming center. JL shares how he got to meet new people, minister to them, meet many more needs, and how our volunteers showed up without hesitation to serve.

Episode Scripture:  "Do not neglect to do good and to share what you have, for such sacrifices are pleasing to God." - Hebrews 13:16

Salty Farm Ministries has received clear guidance regarding future plans and preparations. Recognizing that change is integral to growth, we emphasize the importance of maintaining a strong foundation throughout periods of transition. During this time of development and foundational work, we have supported and collaborated with the launch of several ministries. The body of Christ is all about co-laboring for the Kingdom, using our gifts, talents, and purposes to build each other up along the way.

Episode Scripture: "And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose." Romans 8:28

Check out this week's God Stories from the Streets! We're sharing two of our favorite stories about men working hard to turn their lives around. While it's common to assume that people living on the street are just lazy or unmotivated, these gentlemen prove otherwise. Hear how they're making positive changes for themselves.

Episode scripture:  "He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint." Isaiah 40: 29-31

Go on a journey with us to Austin, Texas and back home...from Thursday to Sunday. A short period of time packed with so many God moments, God stories, and God sized lessons.  A radical calling requires an enormous sized faith, an incredible amount of courage, a large dose of humility, and a surrender to God's will.

What calling has He put on your heart? What giant are you staring at that requires crazy faith? Praying this episode encourages you, sharpens you, and challenges you to take that next step in faith. God never leaves us nor forsakes us. What He has called you to, He will get you through.

Episode Scripture: Philippians 1:6 "being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus."

Check out this week's episode of The Salty Talk to hear the journey of how we became homeless for a short period of time and how God was working and moving all along the way. We are joined by two other couples that helped us out tremendously in that journey.

Sometimes we can get discouraged, feel defeated, and down right question, "Where are you, God?" in the midst of struggles. Those very things were part of our journey. Thankfully, God didn't let us stay there. He sent the calvary to pick us up, literally. So many God stories are woven throughout this bigger story that has been going on since May, earlier this year!

We pray this brings you hope and encouragement and even a few laughs as we share the real and raw glimpse into our life these last several months (which also has to do with why the podcast has been MIA for several weeks!)
