The Salty Talk

Join us this episode as I sit down and talk with one of our very first friends we made in Panama City Beach. Just as much as we have watched him grow, he has watched us grow. We have literally done life together for almost three years. He has a huge heart for the Lord and a great sense of humor to go with it. He always brings such joy to our hearts when we get to see him. I'm honored to give you a chance to meet him and hear his perspective on life and the Lord.

Do you feel like you are in an identity crisis...asking yourself "Who am I?" or "Why am I even here?". You aren't alone. Research (aka google) says there is a "substantial number" of people experiencing an identity crisis. Is it an identity crisis OR do we just not know our identity IN Christ?

This week come out to the streets with us and hear the message just as our friends did. Hear what the Bible says about who you are and how your identity IN Chris is found, formed, and solidified. Will you receive your identity in Christ, will you walk in His plan and purpose for your life, and will you open yourself up to experience God in a real way? Then we dive deeper into scripture (like our Deep Roots Gathering) about the power of our tongue and the words we speak over ourselves, our lives, our situations, and our circumstances. Will you speak life or death this week?

Hear real stories from real people out in the streets. I sat down with two of our friends on the streets this week and asked them some questions about homelessness, what led them there, what they want people to know, and what their dreams for their future are. You might be amazed at some of their responses...they might even shift some perspectives you might have about people on the streets. My prayer is that this week's episode softens your hearts, opens your minds, and prompts you to have a conversation with someone that you may never have otherwise. Go out and get to know someone that is in a different circumstance than you. You might be shocked what you learn about them and yourself in the process.

Ever feel not worthy of your walk with God? Like there's no way you can measure up to what He is asking you to do? Join us this week as you hear the incredible journey of how God took Ray Sprague on a journey from being a volunteer to the Vice President. He shares how he even did not even feel worthy of bringing the message to our friends on the street and now he is unstoppable because he surrendered it all to God. Plus, he has helped JL build the shower trailer from the early stages and shares what that experience has been like and how it has grown his faith and trust in the Lord! God wants to use you, will you let Him? If you say YES to God, your life will never be the same, I promise.

This week we had our big quarterly outreach! We got to partner with some incredible organizations to love on our friends on the streets. Listen as some of the volunteers (ones you've never heard from before) share what it was like and what stereotypes were broke for them this week.

Also HUGE THANK YOU to Hooters in Panama City Beach for providing TWO HUNDRED MEALS for our friends in the streets. And speaking of stereotypes, lets just jump into one you might have about Hooters from the very beginning of this episode!

As we gear up for our BIG OUTREACH happening July 19th in PCB and PC, we wanted to share more of our volunteer's hearts around serving. Check out this week's episode to hear how serving (in any capacity) has impacted their life and/or walk with Christ and what they would say to anyone that is wondering if they should plug in to serve somewhere or with Salty Farm Ministries. It takes A LOT of people to pull off a big outreach event to serve our friends in the streets and we are so thankful for our team and many others that step in and show up!!

If you are local to our area and want to get plugged in to serve at our outreach, please contact us through our LinkTr.ee and let us know!!

If you are a local COMMUNITY RESOURCE and you'd like to partner with us, please contact us through our LinkTr.ee and let us know!!

Join us this week as we share how God showed up in BIG ways for us and for our friends this week!! Sometimes God takes us to these "Red Sea" moments, where it SEEMS like we are up against a wall...BUT GOD shows up in BIG ways!! That happened to us this week and we can't wait for you to hear about it! We also launched our "Deep Roots Gathering" in the streets so don't miss what that is all about and how God met us there! Last, we share such an incredible story of how Jesus transformed a friend so that he could forgive even in a tough situation!!

This episode's scriptures: Matthew 13: 1-23 (read the whole story!) and Romans 12:2
