When Jamie Meifu found a small lump while nursing her baby, she almost brushed it off.
She was 35. No family history. Four kids.
But something told her to advocate for herself and that decision may have saved her life.
In this emotional and brutally honest episode, Jamie shares what it was really like to be diagnosed with breast cancer as a young mom. From multiple biopsies and a double mastectomy to 12 weeks of chemo, forced menopause, cold capping to keep her hair, and navigating the mental battle of survival, nothing about this journey was easy.
Jamie opens up about hearing the words “you have cancer” and the fear that followed. She shares what it was like to tell her children, lose her breasts and her ability to breastfeed overnight, and why she chose chemo even after being declared cancer free. She talks about the anxiety of recurrence and how facing death completely changed her perspective on money, time, and motherhood.
This is more than a cancer story.
It is a story about resilience, self advocacy, identity, strength, and what truly matters when life flips upside down in a single phone call.
If this episode moves you, please share it. Someone you know may need to hear Jamie’s story. Cancer is terrifying. Survival is powerful. And no one should have to walk through it alone.

In this episode of The Salty Truth, I sit down with Mason Anderson, a former heroin addict who spent years in and out of prison before completely transforming his life.
But this conversation isn’t just about addiction.
It’s about the root of it.
Mason shares how what he thought was a drug problem was actually something much deeper: a void, a lack of self-worth, and pain he didn’t know how to express. We talk about prison, recovery, faith, purpose, mindset, and the reality of how one decision can alter your life forever.
We also dive into:
• Why addiction is rarely about the substance
• What the prison system gets wrong about recovery
• The connection between burnout and control
• Why community is the hidden pillar of healing
• How serving others can save your own life
This episode is for anyone who has struggled or loves someone who has.
It’s about redemption. Accountability. Growth. And the truth that your biggest struggle might become your greatest strength.
If this conversation resonates, share it with someone who needs to hear it.
Welcome to The Salty Truth.

Valentine’s Day is here, and I’m not pretending it’s all roses and romance.
In this solo episode, I kick off Valentine’s Week with my own salty truth about procrastination, expectations, and why I almost wrote this holiday off completely, until I didn’t. Then we dive into your anonymous Valentine’s submissions, including windshield wiper fluid as a gift, Taco Bell dates with early bedtimes, mind-reading expectations that never pan out, and the eternal question of who should really pay on a date.
Whether you’re married, single, deeply in love, deeply tired, or just here for the laughs, this episode is a reminder that Valentine’s Day doesn’t have to look a certain way to count. I also issue a bold Salty Challenge: do something just for you, lingerie, red lipstick, silk pajamas, or a confidence-boosting selfie you’ll love later.
Grab a drink, get cozy, and let’s get salty.

One Salty Truth hit so hard, it turned into an entire episode.
In this solo Salty Session, Lindsay unpacks the quiet but powerful impact of comparison culture, toxic social media habits, and the pressure to look confident, healed, and unbothered when most of us are anything but.
From doom scrolling and algorithm-fueled insecurity to impulse decisions and overstimulation, this episode dives into how social media subtly steals our joy, distorts reality, and keeps us stuck in self-doubt. Lindsay gets real about her own struggles, the psychology behind comparison, and why feeling “behind” doesn’t mean you’re failing, it means you’re human.
Most importantly, she shares practical tools to help you set boundaries, clean up your digital environment, reclaim your power, and stop letting validation dictate your worth.
Welcome to the Salty Truth. It’s time to stop playing small and start living for real.

We also talk about creativity, resilience, relationships, and trusting your instincts when the path forward isn’t obvious.
If you’ve ever thought about starting something of your own, or you’re in the thick of building it, this episode is a reminder that progress doesn’t come from perfection. It comes from showing up, staying curious, and betting on yourself even when it’s uncomfortable.
