Lee appeared in 46 games and made 44 starts, while posting a batting average of .235, an on-base percentage of .350, and hit one home run with 14 RBIs. She did play and started in all four NCAA Regional games against California (5/17, 5/18) and LSU (5/18, 5/19). She joins Mike Trude to preview the 2025 season.

We continue our Get To Know Your Salukis segment with Saluki Softball as next up is the always entertaining Emma Austin. Austin started in all 55 games for the Salukis last year on the way to the NCAA Regional at LSU. She led the MVC with 24 stolen bases on 26 attempts as she ties Colleen Holloway (1992) for the fourth-most in a single season at SIU. She totals 46 stolen bases in her first three seasons as she is currently tied in sixth in SIU program history. Mike Trude sits down with Austin before the season begins!

Newcomer to the Salukis this year for Softball is McKenzie Newcomb! She spent the previous three seasons at Samford University where she was First Team All-Southern Conference (SoCon) in 2022 and 2023 and was Second Team All-SoCon in 2024 after making 10 starts, playing in 18 games, and posting a 10-4 record with a 3.02 ERA. Mike Trude sits down with Newcomb to preview the upcoming season.
