In this episode we sit down with WNBA's Center for the Dallas Wings, author, artist, business owner and mental health advocate – Imani McGee-Stafford. Imani is not your surface-level influencer with cliches for answers. She is multi-layered and multi-faceted with a mind as sharp as a whip that she doesn’t hold back from using, especially when there are important topics to discuss.

Before most anyone was sharing their personal mental health battles publicly, Imani McGee-Stafford was playing high-level D1 basketball for Texas and she just let it all out to the media. Looking back, it was never anything planned; in fact she remembers answering questions and opening up like It was just any other topic. However, it wasn’t just any other topic. Before she knew it, she was watching her life story being told on ESPN, making Imani a household name.

She’s embraced all that has come from that experience and continues to advocate passionately, even while she’s playing basketball professionally with the Dallas Wings of the WNBA.  She’s been all over the country and even the world, talking about mental health. Join us as we hear from one of the worlds leaders in mental health advocacy.

Recently retired pro hockey player, Rob Schremp visits the #SameHere Show to talk about why he decided to jump right into mental health advocacy so soon after his playing days. This episode is jam-packed with relatable experiences that Rob shares, many for the first time, publicly. From going to the rink as a youngster just to escape uncomfortable thoughts, to an experience with a gun and thoughts of self-harm, you hear straight from Rob about many of the obstacles he has faced on his way to now helping so many others. As a supremely skilled first round pick in the NHL, Rob got to see a lot in his career - both this highs and the lows and some of the ugly parts of the business. He’s now formally joining forces with We’re All A Little “Crazy” & even collaborating on having mental health programming for players at an upcoming youth hockey camp. Rob is real and raw and one of the rare souls out there telling his story, selflessly for the benefits of others.

The #SameHere Show sits down with Stanley Cup Champion and Olympic Gold Medalist, Theo Fleury for an incredibly entertaining and informative episode you won’t want to miss.  We’re joined by our Founder, Eric Kussin, as we find out how he and Theo originally came together on the idea of an Alliance of celebrities all binding together to break stigma once and for all. Mez Corona, 22, shares his very relatable experiences of struggling with anxiety and depression from a very young age. He takes us right into the nitty gritty of what a day in the life looked like as a barista at a very popular café, managing his mental health condition and building relationships to help him overcome it. Mez is a great example of what Everyday Heroes go through and that we all face common challenges in life that affect our mental health. We are all 'Everyday Heroes', even though it is typically invisible to those around us.
