The Saucer Life

In this episode, we'll be looking at Dan Sherman and his book Above Black: Project Preserve Destiny, in which he tells the story of his communications with extraterrestrials as an Intuitive Communicator for the National Security Agency. There's also the most ludicrous bookselling scheme ever.

This is silly, and yet here it is: a glimpse into Bill Cooper's wonderful world of militia cybersecurity, circa 1994.

Albert Coe's The Shocking Truth is a weird little gem of a Contactee book and we take a look at it in this episode.

Here is a link to a PDF version of the book, as it is nearly impossible to find!

Thanks to a loyal listener, I have a bunch of FBI stuff about Dr. Frank E. Stranges, who we covered in our episode "A Valiant Effort." Here, we take a restrained ramble through these pages (which you can find here).

In this installment of the Zine Scene, we're going to look at all four issues of my favorite short-lived UFO mag, Alien Worlds, published out of the UK in 2008. Thanks to the generosity of our donors, I was able to complete my collection recently, so I thought I'd share my thoughts with you.

Archives for the Unexplained has back issues available very affordably. Shipping costs (from Sweden) may seem high, but their prices on these mags and all their other books are really very reasonable, so it tends to balance out!

So it turns out that Dana Howard mentioned Ron Ormond in one of her books. Here, we look at what that was all about.

This is something a little different.

About a month ago, Associate Producer Simpson J. Hanover III and I went on a little field trip to Hopkinsville and Kelly, Kentucky. Our mission? Basically to locate some of the places associated with the legendary goblin encounters described in our Kelly Goblinsville episode from last October. We didn't go out of our way to bother anyone, didn't pester the locals with our questions about goblins, UFOs, men in black, or anything else. Just two weirdos checking out the area.

We had a lot of fun doing this; hope you enjoy it!

Thanks to listener Martin K., we got our hands on a few issues of The Woodrew Update. This was the newsletter of Greta Woodrew's S.T.A.R. Foundation. In this mini episode, we look at a few goodies from the January/February 1986 edition. Highlights (that may be overselling it) include her classical music tastes, unattributed poetry, and a glimpse at what the S.T.A.R. Foundation was doing with its donations in 1986.
