The Savage Garden

Join Leslie Simon and cohost Emily as they ponder, grumble, and shout their way through Episode 1 of AMC’s polarizing new series Interview with the Vampire. Why is Louis a pimp? Can vampires smoke? What is with all the zombie carnage in New Orleans? Tune in to find out.

Join us as we discuss the ending of The Vampire Lestat, and Lestat’s recounting of everything Interview with the Vampire got right and wrong. Join us as we discuss the first half of Anne Rice’s “The Vampire Lestat”. We’re not saying “The Vampire Lestat” is Anne’s best work (we totally are) but it’s definitely one of the most entertaining!

In this episode Emily Simon and I discuss which Hogwarts houses and Percy Jackson cabins we believe the Vampire Chronicles characters belong in. As always, we take some minor detours to discuss some of Anne Rice’s other works, and make sure to mention Buffy the Vampire Slayer at least once. Plus, Emily updates us on her recently rescued baby bunny.
