Sometimes we don't understand the world that we live in LOL. Also we talk about the Canadian influencers who made global headlines having a maskless party on a plane down to Cancun... face palm moment.

This weeks episode is ram packed with stories- starting with the Omicron Covid variant. It's been so long since we discussed covid, but with all the latest stories we had to discuss it. Austria plans to make vaccines mandatory in 2022, among rising cases and protests in Europe. What are your thoughts on this? Jumping from covid- we discuss a Young Turks video on climate change- and more recently how forecasts predict some large cities could face increased flooding pressure by 2030. Artists face pressure to not perform at the upcoming grand prix in Saudi Arabia (given the country's human rights violations). More specifically, wife of journalist who got killed at the Saudi conciliate a few years ago, wrote a letter specifically to Justin Bieber requesting him to take a stand and not perform. Ahmaud Arbery case is discussed as the perpetrators have now been convicted. Lastly, we end on the viral video causing waves, and that is Mr.Beasts Squid game.

In this week’s episode, we start by talking about the very controversial Kyle Rittenhouse trial. Now we talked about Kyle before in a previous episode, but he is back in the news again and this time it has to do with the final judgement laid down on him from the courts- acquitted of all charges. What are your thoughts on this? Do you think the judgement was fair? We also discuss the Shawn Mendes and Camila Cabello break-up- and the unfair pressure that Shawn is getting around people questioning his sexuality- leave the poor man alone! Things get a bit heated in our final topic which went from Adele to our Canadian school system, but the theme was around body positivity. Our stance is that there should be a middle ground- not shaming people for being overweight but also not promoting the idea that being overweight is healthy.

Soo for this weeks episode we talk a little more on the Astroworld festival as more information comes to light and tragically the death toll has also rise, with the latest death being a 9 year old :( . We also talk monumental news on the Britney front, she is finally free from her conservatorship that has been controlling her life for the past 13 years! What are your thoughts on this? YouTube has also decided to make the dislike totals on videos disappear- which has resulted in mixed feelings among creators. Do you think it is a good idea for youtube to not remove the dislike button but so that viewers cannot see the number of dislkes? Let us know your thoughts below and enjoy your week!

In this weeks episode, we kick off discussing a kind of random topic- but one that impacts most of North America, and that is city planning. We discuss how some city zoning for residential housing helped create the North American reliance on cars and created less social spaces: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CCOdQsZa15o . We also talk about the recent news surrounding the Astroworld Festival tragedies (Note: We recently found out more information that points more blame towards Travis Scott). We revisit the Dave Chapelle comedy special after Daniel has seen it now- what are your thoughts on this comedy special?

The first story we discuss in this weeks episode is about instagram model posing next to her fathers open casket- what do you guys think about this, is it appropriate is it cringe? Apparently American politicians hate any type of paternity leave, which we try to wrap our heads around- America has no mandated paid period of leave for parents! Our last story, and probably the scariest is the issues going on with our global supply chain. What is going to happen if it continues to get worse?

Holy Toledos, this week was crazy with stories. Dave Chapelle is back in the spotlight again for his new comedy special on Netflix. His jokes/ comments on Trans people had a lot of people up in arms, so much so that some staff at Netflix staged a virtual walk out. What are your thoughts on this, should some topics be off limits for comedians? Poor Alec Baldwin, shoots and kills the Director of Cinematography on the set of his latest film after someone accidentally handed him a loaded gun. A famous tiktoker is accused of killing his ex-girlfriend with whom he used to film cute tiktoks with. Brian Laundry is finally found; dead and presumed to have committed suicide. It has been a bit of a wild one this week!
