Choosing not to watch this summer's Pirates of the Caribbean film, Jake and Danny instead step up to their podcast pulpit and talk about film buffs and snobs.

The guys discuss what they think makes someone a film buff or a film snob, and their thoughts on the whole 'my opinion on films is better than yours' mentality.

This episode also includes Jake yelling at Danny for making him watch Hook, and some brief general talk about films and television shows they've seen (slight spoilers for last year's 10 Cloverfield Lane).

Back from their brief hiatus, Jake and Danny restart their 2017 summer movie review train with Ridley Scott's return to the Alien universe through Alien: Covenant and his 2012 film, Prometheus.

Danny and Jake reluctantly bring on JP to review the first film of the summer blockbuster season, James Gunn's Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.2

They start off this episode by briefly talking about Manchester by the Sea, and a short rant about the recent spoof movies and Jake's extreme ire for their financial success.

In the middle of the podcast, they randomly revive their 'theater going pet-peeves' segment, as well as some 'interesting' discussion in the after credits section.

One week away from the summer movie invasion of 2017, Jake and Danny try to remember what it's like actually talking about films by looking back on Spike Lee's Do The Right Thing and the Coen Brothers' A Serious Man.

We go right into spoilers for each film, so make sure you've seen these films before hearing our discussion.

Danny and Jake still haven't seen a new film in theaters (we swear we're waiting for the summer blockbuster rush).

So instead this week they talk about various television shows (spoiler free!) they've been watching in their down time, such as: Game of Thrones, Westworld, Better Call Saul, Trailer Park Boys, Fargo, and Black Mirror.

They briefly rant about their dislike for laugh tracks and canned laughter. Jake accuses Danny of slanderous crimes.

Then they move on to measuring up the careers of several film directors and seeing how they've fared over the years.

We promise once May hits, we'll be doing back-to-back film reviews for all (most) of the blockbusters.
