In the second week of October, Danny and Mike try to stay afloat in the wave of incredible games being released this fall.

They cover some news stories such as the PUBG vs Fortnight snafu, and the huge file size of the upcoming Shadow of War.

Danny talks about his experience with Cuphead and Getting Over It with Bennett Foddy, and Mike dives into Fire Emblem: Echoes.

Then they tackle this week's discussion topic about genres of games that they could never get into despite their best efforts, and other genres that they were able to get into after being uninterested for some time.

Thanks to everyone who downloads and listens.

Come hang out with Danny on twitch! He streams games every weekday from 4-8 pm Central Time.

Jake and Danny are still trying to get a regular release schedule for their film episodes.

This episode they talk about Kingsman 2: The Golden Circle, Ozark, The Defenders, Preacher, and Gerald's Game.

Then they kick off their annual October Horror Film Marathon where they'll be reviewing a bunch of horror films from a bunch of different series. This year they'll be celebrating the season by seeing all of the Saw movies. And for this episode they talk about Saw II as well as a bunch of other horror films they respect/hate.

Look forward to future mini-episodes where they'll be talking about each of the films in the Saw franchise, culminating in this year's release of Jigsaw. As well as many others (as many as they can) to finish the month.

The gaming corner of the Schlub Cast returns with newcomer Niko to talk about gaming news and other gaming related topics up to October 1st, 2017.

This episode also marks the new schedule of released content every week, usually out by Sunday or Monday.

This week, the guys talk about the new Red Dead Redemption 2 trailer and the positive release of Nintendo's SNES Classic.

Then they talk about some games they've been playing such as Oxenfree, Shadow Tactics: Blades of the Shogun, Metroid 2, and Hollow Knight.

All of that is capped off with an in-depth conversation of their opinions on Destiny 2 and the problematic issues surrounding loot boxes and all they entail.

Danny finally figured out file sized and bit rates, so now these episodes can actually be long without broken into several smaller pieces.

This week, Jake and Danny discuss Darren Aronofsky's new film, mother!, and what better way to talk about a batshit crazy over-the-top film than to invite resident batshit crazy over-the-top film person, John-Paul back to the show? Sorry.

This episode is purely a spoiler-filled discussion about mother! right from the start.
