A very special episode as we spoke to the brilliant Israeli journalist Uri Levy about a fascinating story. Uri is the founder of the Middle Eastern football website babagol.net. He was the perfect person to talk to about a remarkable story of the takeover of Beitar Jerusalem by a UAE Sheikh, who's fan group La  Familia are regularly viewed as having some of the world's most racist fans. The club has never had an Arab player and the vicious reaction of the fans to the purchase in 2013 of 2 Muslim Chechens was documented in the documentary forever pure. Uri told us how this incredible takeover story has gone down, how everything does not appear to be as it seems, as well as gave his insights on the view on the controversial Qatar World Cup from the region. It was a fascinating discussion bringing together culture, racism and society.

On this special end of year show, we spoke to Brendan of allsportsbooks.reviews about one of the absolute classics of the sportsbook Genre, "The Miracle of Castel di Sangro" by Joe McGinniss. The Miracle of Castel di Sangro is the account by American writer Joe McGinniss, a new disciple to Calcio, of the first season that the tiny Abruzzo club spent in Serie B. Told in vivid detail, it brings to life this underdog story and the tumultuous season that McGinniss spent with the team. We were delighted that Brendan was able to join us to discuss this fascinating story, and believe that you'll enjoy listening too.

We gathered our regular guests (in a socially distanced manner) to battle it out for the inaugural Podcast Christmas/New Year's Quiz trophy. How does it feel when your first game for your country results in a 31-0 loss and a World record that stands to this day? You keep trying despite all the odds.  At least, that's what you do if you are Nicky Salapu, our guest for this week's podcast. 
We spoke to him about that harrowing Australia game and how he reacted afterwards. We asked him what has kept him going through an almost 20-year career for his country, playing for the ultimate footballing underdog and Nicky explained what it felt like committing yourself at a personal cost to keep playing and fighting for your country, through all the pain.
