Hollie Davidson and Andy White join Stew and Gav Rittoo in the starting line-up for this month’s rugby themed edition of the #SSSPOD.

Hollie talks us through her rugby journey so far, from her student days at Edinburgh University, to hanging up her playing boots and whistling around the world as Scottish Rugby’s first full-time professional women’s referee.

Alongside Hollie we welcome returning QMU Vice-President of Sports and Societies, Andy White. Andy chats through the benefits of joining sports clubs and societies for new students and gives us an insight into what student sport will look like at QMU this year.

On this month’s episode we meet the women who decided to run the length of Britain - Lands’ End to John O Groats - smashing the world record in the process.

Carla Molinaro joins us on the #SSSPOD to talk all things ultra-running, motivation, getting out your comfort zone and the small matter of how to run 874 miles in 12 days.

Alongside Carla we welcome Kieran Matthews, former RGU sports president turned Aberdeen University Activities Coordinator. Kieran chats through his highlights as RGU Sports President and the controversial decision to swap from purple to blue…

Joining us in July we welcome another two high calibre guests onto the SSS Pod.

We caught up with Britain’s no.1 Rifle Shooter and World Champion Seonaid McIntosh. We discuss everything from whacky hairstyles and travelling the world to how she manages to balance multiple degrees as a world champion!

Joining Seonaid in the firing line is Edinburgh University Sports Union President, Julia Stenhouse. After a whirlwind 12 months in the role, Julia shares with us some of her highlights, Tik-Tok dances and plans for the future…

In a St. Andrews University special Stew and Gav are joined by current Sports President Leah Allcock and Malcolm Cannon. Malcolm held the role as Sports Union officer at St Andrews back in the 1980s, before going to too establish a career as an inspirational leader – holding chief executive positions in four different business including Cricket Scotland.

We caught up with the pair of them to chat all things from ZOOM quizzes and lockdown habits, to what has changed at the oldest university in Scotland. We also include a SSS update on our plans for next season!
