*EDITORS NOTE*

THE ROCKTOBER BLU-RAY DISCUSSED IN THIS EPISODE TURNED OUT TO BE A BIG SHAM.

We had such a good time with this interview but were very upset at how it all played out. Hopefully someday we’ll get a proper release of this awesome flick, but we are very let down that so many people got scammed via the Indiegogo campaign and the VHS quality blu-ray that was released.  Read More Here.

Other films discussed on the show: Enter The Ninja, Revenge Of The Ninja, Pray For Death, Excess Fless, The Honeymoon Killers, Serpent And The Rainbow, 30 Days Of Night: Dark Days, Wrong Turn 5, Forget Me Not, House Of The Fallen, Red Hook, Dreamhouse

Brad discusses Kevin McTurk’s wonderful puppet short The Mill At Caulder’s End. You can find out more information on how to see this short at these links:

Week #2 in our month of Heavy Metal Horror! Today Mike “McBeardo” McPadden makes an appearance and we chat his awesome book: Heavy Metal Movies! Also on deck in our Stream Screams segment is the third installment in the Turbulence series (!?), Turbulence 3: Heavy Metal! A flick that imagines a band’s final performance that will be live-streamed via the “internet” from 30,000 feet in a specially modified 747! Seriously.

Heavy Metal Movies is available at most book retailers, but we prefer you buy it direct from the publisher Bazillion Points.

Stream Screams – Turbulence 3: Heavy Metal

We also discuss Lamberto Bava‘s 1985 film Demons because we feel it doesn’t seem to get enough Heavy Metal Horror love for some reason.

We’re about to jump into Heavy Metal Horror Month, but FIRST: TEX MONTANA NEEDS YOUR HELP!

O. hannah Films (THE BATTERY guys.) needs your help to distribute their newest film Tex Montana Will Survive! If successfully funded, the one man “found footage” comedy will be distributed under Creative Commons so it can be distributed worldwide for FREE.

About the film:

When his reputation as the most famous and trusted TV survival host in the world is tarnished following allegations that his show is staged, Tex Montana attempts to clear his name by documenting himself surviving in the remote wilderness for thirty days, completely alone.

Take a listen to this podcast as we speak to Christian Stella and Jeremy Gardner for the “How and Why” they need your help. We’re 100% behind this Kickstarter and think it is an important step for Independent filmmakers to be in full control of their creations. Visit the Tex Montana Will Survive! Kickstarter page HERE.

Also, visit their YouTube page for survival tips straight from Tex Montana himself!

On this week’s show we say our goodbye’s to some legends that have recently left us, Lemmy Kilmister, David Bowie, Alan Rickman and a few more. We also have a handful of goodies that have arrived on our collective doorsteps, including Sean’s first Vinegar Syndrome “sexy time” experience with Roger Watkins’ CORRUPTION. As we realized the episode would run long, we have set aside our Stream Screams & VHS segments on the shelf for next week. We’ll plan more in depth discussions on the films OF UNKNOWN ORIGIN (1983, available on Vudu) and DOMINION (1995, available VHS and “other methods”) next week. Feel free to track these down and watch them to enhance your listening experience next week!

Films discussed: Corruption, Straight Outta Compton, Shiver Of The Vampires, Severence, Contracted Phase 2, All Hallows Eve 2, Painkillers, Eugenie, Black Angel (Short Film), The Sender

BJ’s Top Horror Films of 2015!

Other films discussed: Bone Tomahawk, What We Do In The Shadows, The Gift, Stung, Wrecker, American Ultra, Condemned, Knock Knock, Dracula (Christopher Lee), Tigerhouse, Super Fast, Sinister 2, Tokyo Tribe
