This Podcast is about friendships and when I think about good sailor buddies, I think of these three gentlemen who I met onboard the USS Donald Cook. I sit down and chat with these folks as we relive and tell stories from our Navy Days. This podcast has nothing to offer but stories and experiences that ultimately lead to life long bonds. 

This is a small insight to the non-professional side of the Navy.

This month I chat with my Fiance and former Aviation Machinist Mate for the Navy. As always we discuss her experience in the Navy, along with what it's like being a woman in the Navy, and we have a long discussion on how she ultimately decided to pursue he passion in cooking and baking and make her mark on Seattle's pastry scene.  

This month, it was my pleasure to chat with former U.S. Navy Damage Controlman Carl.

A DCman is essentially a first responder/firefighter onboard U.S. Navy Vessels. 

Our paths never crossed professionally, but I did learn that he served aboard the USS Donald Cook 10 years after I did. He talks about what is was like training during a government shutdown, what it was like checking onto his first command that was stationed IN SPAIN, and he gets into his love of vinyl records. Enjoy!

This  months special guest is a sailor who was not born in the United States. Stewart was/is an Air Framer who comes from England. His mind is a steel trap and he tells me his journey from England, his path to citizenship and his exit and eventual return to the U.S. Navy. During our chat, he goes into great detail on what it is like to be in the aviation side of Navy and even discusses his two worse days in the Navy. His ability to remember the smallest details is amazing and if you are curious about Navy life, this may be the episode for you!

Personally a Special Episode this month. I chat with my childhood friend about our experience enlisting and journey while serving in the US Navy. Aurel is a former SPY-1 Radar tech and currently a dance/fitness instructor for Fresno State University. We discuss all his decision making to get to where he is at today. 

I enjoyed asking all about his Hip-Hop Dance career, from what goes into choreography to his influences and everything in between.

On today's podcast I sit down with my good friend and retired Chief Petty Officer Oscar Vera. Oscar is my first guest who retired after 20+ years in the U.S. Navy. I got to speak with him a lot about leadership, which is one thing I've been looking forward to doing.
