Sherm Chester recaps the Championship weekend for high school hockey and basketball in the Granite State.

The highlights of the weekend included a D1 hockey championship for Concord in a historic 4 overtime victory against  Bishop Guertin followed by the boys D1 basketball title contest between Bedford and Keene with Bedford squeaking out the win in a great title tilt.

It’s almost time to close the books on the high school winter sports season with the championship weekend.

Sherm Chester is joined by Roger Brown of NHHardball.com to discuss the pairings and to analyze the elimination of the Seacoast  teams in the tournament in two exciting semifinal contests.

The Girls Division 2 Championship game at Noon..Division One at 4pm

On Sunday..

The Boys Division 2 Championship game at Noon..Division One at 4pm

Both days the games will be at UNH's Lundholm Gym in Durham

The pairings for the NHIAA girls and boys basketball tournaments are posted and Sherm is joined by Jay Pinsonnault from Seacoastonline.com and they review the matchups and size up the teams leading up to the NHIAA Basketball Championships for D1 and D2 at UNH ‘s Lundholm Gym March 15 and 16.

Jay has been checking out Cactus League spring training baseball in Arizona and gives his take on the Red Sox acquisition of Alex Bregman.

On the schoolboy/school girl sports scene discussion turns to the upcoming schedules and current NHIAA standings.

During the “Two Minute Drill” Sherm congratulates the winner of the SSF Fantasy football league and gives his take on the upcoming National College Football Championship.

The guys discuss the New Years college bowl games and the road to the NCAA football championship.  The effects of the Transfer Portal  on the game is also on the table.
