In this special episode of the Seagull, we assembled a panel of Airmen from the 102nd Intelligence Wing to discuss how we connect with one another, how we support each other and what we do to strengthen the culture here at our wing. Please give this important episode a listen and take a little time to consider the ways you connect with and support your fellow wingmen. If you have a friend or wingman who is struggling, what do you say to them... how do you help them? How do you take care of yourself? Does seeking help impact your military career? This month’s show features an interview with Jill Garvin, the wing Director of Psychological Health. We sit down with Jill and talk about Suicide Prevention Awareness Month and what can be done to help those around you as well as yourself. Later we get a clip from this month’s Chevrons where Master Sgt. Keith Robbins, the plans and programs non-commissioned officer in charge at the 102nd Communications Flight, and Tech. Sgt. Jason Whittaker, the 102nd Intelligence Wing public affairs NCOIC, talk about stoicism and some takeaways for alternative points of views and good practices for personal and professional development. But first, in this month’s command message, we hear from Colonel Nicole Ivers, commander of the 102nd Mission Support Group. Colonel Ivers shares some sobering statistics in regards to suicide and shares ways that you can help your friends, family or wingmen who might be suffering as well as some techniques for reducing stress in your own life..

This month’s show features an interview with Rodney Norman, an inspiring comedian and former U.S. Marine. Rodney talks about his path to social media stardom and some of the life lessons that the service emparted on him that he uses in his daily life.

In this month’s command message we hear from Colonel Sean Riley, commander of the 102nd Intelligence Wing. Colonel Riley shares his thoughts regarding his line of effort to establish the 102nd as a unit of choice and the intention to continue developing the wing as a high performing organization.

In this month’s show we've got the command message featuring Colonel Robert Driscoll, commander of the 102nd Medical Group. He talks about why July 4th is his favorite holiday. We learn about how Security Forces practices the profession of arms during an exercise on Joint Base Cape Cod, we hear an interview with the wing Human Resource Advisor, we learn about one of our outstanding Airmen and how she ended up being a member of the wing. We also get a little information on the Community College of the Air Force and how it can help enhance your career! Finally, we hear a clip from this month’s Chevrons. You won’t want to miss it!

In this month’s show, we’ve got the wing command message. Colonel Wendy Armijo, commander of the 202nd Intelligence Surveillance Reconnaissance Group, talks about recognizing the unique talents of each of our Airmen, observance of LGBTQ pride month, and investing in our diverse force. We hear about the Otis Civilian Advisory Council’s annual Memorial Day ceremony, we get a little history about Juneteenth and a bit of information related to motorcycle safety. In this month’s command message, Colonel Enrique Dovalo, commander of the 102nd Intelligence Surveillance Reconnaissance Group, talks about reasons to reflect, remember, and celebrate during this month of May. We speak to a Guardian over at the 6th Space Warning Squadron, Cape Cod Space Force Station, about an eSports tournament that they have organized for local Massachusetts military members coming up in June. We talk with a couple of subject matter experts about the importance of public speaking and we also hear about a pretty cool innovation that has been going on over at the 212th Engineering Installation Squadron. In this month’s 5 questions we speak with Ms. Jill Garvin, wing DPH, about mental health wellness. All that and more on the extremely packed episode of The Seagull.

This month we’ve got this month’s command message. Colonel Tim Gordon, vice commander of the 102nd Intelligence Wing, talks about the Salem Muster and also shares his thoughts about the month of the military child! In this month's Five Questions we speak to Ms. Jackie Tellier, former wing SARC. We spend a few minutes speaking about the Sexual Assault Prevention Program. With April being SAPR month, it is definitely worth a listen. We also have a bit of April Air Force history as we hear about some Airmen of note. We learn about the establishment of a space for wing personnel to relax, reconnect, and recharge, dubbed the ‘Zen Den’. We finish off with a clip from the latest episode of Chevrons.

We also get a little history about Ms. Frances Fortune Grimes, a Women’s Airforce Service Pilot who served at Otis Field during World War II. Colonel Stephen Dillon, commander of the 253rd Cyberspace Engineering Installation Group talks to us about the rising strategic importance of the Arctic region, especially relevant due to recent world events.

In this month’s Seagull Colonel Nicole Ivers, Commander of the 102nd Mission Support Group has a great message for getting your new year started on the right foot! We also have 5 Questions with our very own Public Health office as they answer some of the most popular questions relating to the pandemic - we talk boosters, symptoms, and COVID testing. We also hear from the Airman and Family Readiness team as they talk about the great things they do for our Airmen and their families. We also get a bit of history about Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. - and a call for giving back during the National Day of Service in his name that occurs this month.
