I’m sure you’ve likely seen the picture of “3 Feet From Gold” circulating on Instagram, Facebook or Twitter. Most people think the 3 feet from gold story is about persistence and not quitting and just keep going and keep going. In a way, yes, this is very true but there is a deeper moral to the 3 feet from gold story that most people don’t know.

A while back I was sitting down with a financial client of ours and he asked how did Megan and I pay off so much debt in such a little amount of time. In this BREAKTHROUGH Minute, I share how we paid off all of our debt and the decision of why we did it.
For the past couple of years, I’ve been devouring any and all goal setting, high performance, and productivity content. The reason being is I hit a wall in my goal setting and I need better direction and how to effectively design and achieve my ambitious goals.
You think about it, we’re not taught this stuff in school nor college. If you want to live a high-achieving life you pretty much have to figure out this goal-setting stuff Hard Knocks style. (Which even though I do have a degree I consider all my knowledge to be from the School of Hard Knox.)
From all this research I have done I found two big reasons why most people fail at their goals. And by no means is this the ONLY two...there’s dozens of reasons...but, I thought these two were good to share as you may not be aware of them and now you will be going into 2020 and beyond.

This story I'm about to share I still remember vividly the day I heard it. It was roughly 5 years ago at a Las Vegas business convention. The speaker, his name is Jeff Levitan, uber-successful entrepreneur shared this with the MGM Arena crowd I was in and I was floored by this incredible short parable about life and what it takes to become great.
