    Over the course of what many would say was a 'boring' weekend in the sports world, shocking news broke late Saturday night in regards to the NBA. Roughly  Saturday night news broke that the Dallas Mavericks in a blockbuster trade are sending Luka Doncic, Max Kleber, and Markieff Morris to the Los Angeles Lakers in exchange for a 2029 first-round pick, Max Christie and ten time NBA All-Star Anthony Davis. With the trade deadline approaching this Thursday, this trade has taken the media by storm since. Unexpected as it was, lots of opinions and questions have derived on rather the trade will work, if the trade was a good one and so forth but furthermore, lots of fans are confused as to why the swap between the two dominant stars in the middle of the season. Catching everyone off guard over the weekend, Sean and Brian take a moment discussing the blockbuster trade from the weekend and the potential of what it could pan out to look like here in the coming weeks along with the question posed to listeners, has the NBA really become desperate for viewership and ratings now?

  • Do You Think The NFL Is Rigged?
    Wrapping up the 2024-2025 NFL season Super Bowl LIX has officially been set with the back-to-back reigning Super Bowl champs, the Kansas City Chiefs taking on the Philadelphia Eagles. Aiming to become the first franchise ever to win three straight Super Bowls in a row they stand against a huge challenge against Jalen Hurts and the Eagles in what seems to be a rematch showdown of Super Bowl LVII. With lots of tension building towards the final game of the season, lots of people in advance have concluded the victor already as many believe its been foreshadowed roughly all season. With the main issue boiling down to the officiating and now tying in sports gambling with it, many speculate that the NFL plays a hand in tampering with games across the league. Looking at everything optically from a viewers point of view and evaluating some of the blatant non-calls this season Sean and Brian take a moment discussing and posing the question to listeners, is it possible that the NFL is rigged?

  • Could Adam Silver Be Looking To Shorten Quarter Lengths To 10 Minutes?
    Turning to the NBA for a moment, the Rockets have turned things around drastically in their two year span under Coach Ime Udoka's tenure as head coach. Trailing behind the Oklahoma City Thunder who leads the Western Conference, the Rockets are second in the West with a standing of thirty-two wins followed with only fourteen losses thus far. With viewership and ratings becoming a huge topic around the league, recently just yesterday NBA's Commissioner Adam Silver tossed around the idea of tampering with the total number of minutes played in the league's games. Aiming to raise ratings and views the commissioner suggest two minutes cut at the end of every quarter therefore, instead of playing twelve minute quarters with a total of forty-eight minutes of playing time players would play ten-minute quarters with a total of only forty minutes. Sean and Brian take a moment along with listeners in discussion of is it really needed to cut the game's minutes or does this appear to be another gimmick by the NBA?

    Turning to the MLB, the Astros have been pretty productive in their offseason in regards to adding to the roster and deepening their depth. Picking up infielders and outfielders throughout the offseason mixed with acquiring a few pitching arms, the Astros look to be piecing together their team for the 2025 season. Taking note of a few departures like Kyle Tucker, Ryan Pressly, and Justin Verlander many still wonder what may the Astros tend to do with Alex Bregman as the days course on without any signings or news regarding the third baseman. With rumors arousing that Bregman may return an Astro for the season lots of talk have begun on rather or not the Astros should bring him back. Taking into account his initial offer in the beginning, to him hitting free agency and testing his market value, and now attaining little to any teams interest many wonder is it actually worth bringing the veteran back. Sean and Brian pose the question to listeners after all that's coursed on throughout the offseason with prospects picked up and dropped, would you pay Alex Bregman $30M to bring him back an Astro now?

  • Texans Fire OC Bobby Slowik; Who Could Be Next?
    Concluding their season last week in their Divisional Round loss to the Kansas City Chiefs and wasting no time as the offseason now begins, the Texans organization has decided to move on after just two years from Bobby Slowik being their head coach. Following back to back seasons with a record of 10-7 and making the Divisional Round of playoffs but not quite able to get to a Conference game, the Texans have released Slowik along with a few other coaches. Offensive assistant Jerrod James and Leander Wallace are set not to return next season following the expiration of their contracts along with defensive assistant Ryan Milus. Looking to get things done early this offseason, Sean and Brian discuss along with listeners did the Texans make the right move getting rid of some of their coaching staff this offseason and who potentially could be next?
