Tracking back to Sunday's game regarding the Texans against the Colts, Texans star wide receiver Stefon Diggs goes down late in the third quarter following an apparent noncontact knee injury. With a surprising injury occurring for Diggs and with a short week following Sunday's matchup, to the Texans next game on Thursday night against Aaron Rodgers and the Jets, many raise concern if Diggs will be cleared for Thursday's game. With roster depth becoming a bit of a hassle now, being short on both sides of the ball with Nico Collins, Dameon Pierce, and Azeez all very vital players that are still not on the active roster yet many tend to wonder has Diggs joined the uncertainty list on whether he will return or not this season. Preparing for Thursday night's game against the Jets, should the Texans begin game-planning without Stefon this week?

Wrapping up most of Week 8 around the NFL, the Texans took on the Colts in another clash prior to their first visit against them down in Indianapolis dating back to Week 1. In what turned out to be a nail-biter of a game, the Texans pull away from the Colts with the victory and following the games final score of 23-20. Now 6-2 and closely arriving at the mid-point of the season, the Texans still lead the AFC South division just ahead of the Colts, Jaguars, and the Titans. With the difficulty of the schedule inching closer, the Texans get ready to take on Aaron Rodgers and the Jets this week on  Thursday night following yesterday's slate of games. As the season rolls on and Houston continuing to grind out tough wins over tough opponents, is it possible that the Texans can lock the AFC South Division down before their BYE weekend arrives?

Rolling along into Week 8, the Texans revisit a previous matchup from the earlier weeks of the season being the Indianapolis Colts. Following a tough loss last week to the Packers, the Texans have a chance to make over last weeks mistakes following a new acquire on the defense being the pickup of Devin White, adding a bit more depth to the roster still without Al-Shaair practicing. Texans Insider Aaron Wilson joins the guys in discussion of last week's game in comparison to this week's along with with a few things to note and look for rolling into Sunday's game followed by a final score prediction and who may walk away with the victory this week.

Gearing to roll into Week 8 of the season, the Texans back track to Week 1 as they take on the Indianapolis Colts again this Sunday in what seems to be a rematch from the seasons opener. Following the teams loss last Sunday to the Packers, puts the team at a 5-2 standing now with many wondering how confident to be rolling further into the season. Some have raised question as to rather this standing is a comfortable 5-2 or a soft standing. Noting how the teams production hasn't maximized fully just yet, many challenge that the Texans standing shouldn't have them too comfortable as they have still yet to play a complete game regarding all sides and dimensions of the ball. Can the Texans 5-2 start be considered a strong one or a padded cushion in the rankings for the time being?

Following yesterday's events, the 2024-25 NBA Season kicks off with the Celtics ring ceremony and them later taking on the New York Knicks down in Boston. Followed by their game, LeBron suits up alongside his son Bronny for the first father-son duo in NBA history in their season opener against Anthony Edwards and the Timberwolves. This evening the Rockets tip-off their season opener against the Charlotte Hornets here at the Toyota Center with lots of people anticipating this years season. Following the pickup of Steven Adams in the offseason and new contract signings, many believe the Rockets have now risen as a competitor in the league. With roster depth in younger players like Reed Shepard and Jalen Green alongside veterans such as Adams and Dillon Brooks, are the Rockets now a fierce competitor this year?
