In this podcast episode, we do things a little differently! In the Bible, we see that the Lord talks to people through their dreams and dreams can be very powerful. When I was younger and going through difficult seasons in life, I would have dreams where God would be there to comfort me or just talk with me about my problems and fears. Every time I woke up from those dreams, I would feel renewed and trusted that God was truly coming to me through my dreams to help me personally. 

As I got older these dreams stopped and I learned to hear God’s voice in different ways. For this podcast episode, I asked God if there was anything He wanted me to talk about… and then I had a dream, and this is what we will be discussing in this podcast episode. 

 “Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it."

Welcome my sweet friend Haley Gram to the podcast! In this episode, Haley and I read 2 Corinthians 4:16 and discuss hoping through hard times, the goodness of God, and resting in the promises of God and not our emotions. 

We talk about the goodness of God and how God's goodness is not based on what He does for us. God doesn't owe us anything. In fact, we owe Him everything. We know God is good despite our circumstances or feelings because that is what His word says and that's why can have hope in hard times because we know His character and His heart!

Do you shove down your emotions? Are you filled with questions, but aren't willing to speak them out to God? This has been a struggle of mine. Sometimes it's hard to be truly authentic with God when we can't even be authentic with ourselves. Even though God already knows our thoughts and heart, we dive into what just might happen if we speak those thoughts and feelings out to God, instead of shoving them down.

What did Jesus mean when He said, "my yoke is easy and my burden is light."
