On the Secret Witch Show today, Nicole is diving into all things ‘manifestation’ of our magical destiny as aspiring healers, exploring the challenges of manifesting our dream lives, the importance of self-healing, permission-giving and embracing our inner power. She explores the power of the witch - and the difference between manifesting from wounding versus love.
Exploring the deeper nuances of the law of ‘manifestation’ (one of 8 elements of the Secret Witch path), Nicole emphasises the importance of healing self-illumination of our unconscious wounding so that we can choose to create what we desire. She invites you to tune into your body, open your heart and recognise the hidden power you do already have to create whatever your heart longs for - if you open to the possibility of your inner witch and her apothecary within to help you peel back the layers of trauma and open to magic.
What You’ll Learn from this Episode:
Manifestation is an important element in the journey of embracing our gifts as healers - yet it has a nuance that is often misunderstood in the ‘self-help’ world (in that we are *already* powerful creatrixes)
We can begin to create what our heart desires by self-healing, and addressing and loving our unconscious inner-wounds, rather than attempting to sticky-plaster, quick fix or bypass them with affirmations
We innocently manifest all kinds of thing we don’t want from unconscious wounds - physical health issues, such as burn out, often manifest from deeper underlying traumas that have been suppressed - and healing is in learning to express them and become more conscious
To truly manifest a more magical life, we must give ourselves permission to embrace our fears and desires, peeling back the layers, welcoming them and loving them into liberation
The witch can help us do that, initiating us into our creatrix power, as well as our healing power
We must love our inner little girl who often feels fear to create our dreams - she’s the one often unconsciously creating what we don’t want (innocently) - and if we love her, and make her feel safe, this is the way to true healing and transformation - and embracing our gifts.

On the Secret Witch Show today our guest is Maude Hirst. Maude is a Meditation Specialist, Founder, Speaker, Coach, and Author of the Intuitive Whispers Oracle Deck specialising in making meditation and its life-changing benefits accessible to all. Maude was an actress best known for playing Helga in the hit TV show Vikings before becoming a leading wellness practitioner and founder of the bespoke meditation company EnergyRise.
In this episode we dived into the importance of connecting to our ‘intuitive whispers’ in the journey of healing transformation - and how to deepen into our wisdom so we can embrace our true selves. Exploring Maude’s personal journey of navigating darkness in her life, she highlighted the four stages of healing and how she journeyed from a career in acting - where she felt disconnected - to her spiritual awakening and how she learned to trust her intuitive nudges to embrace who she is, and create an Oracle Deck that helps others access their own intuition. Listen to the end for our perfect card pull! What You’ll Learn from this Episode:
We are all ‘actresses’ in life; most of us need to learn how to stop wearing masks and playing ‘character roles’ and truly embrace our authentic selves - and we can begin this journey by tuning into our intuitive whispers
The process of healing transformation requires four stages - Listening (to our intuition), Clearing (our limiting beliefs), Rebuilding (consciously creating our true self), and Action (taking aligned steps)
Fear can come up in the journey of connecting to our intuitive whispers - and it’s important to welcome and embrace that, moving through it, rather than avoiding it - darkness is part of the journey to ourselves
Tuning into our intuition is a daily practice - connecting to our bodies and grounding into nature can really help us to hear ourselves - as can intuitive journaling, or pulling Oracle cards
It can be challenging to own who we are - especially as healer witches - because there is societal conditioning to overcome - that’s just another layer of the onion to be healed, and an invitation into the next spiral around the stages of healing transformation.

On the Secret Witch Show today, Nicole is exploring the importance of self-healing using our ‘inner apothecary’, explaining what exactly that is, and how we can work with anything as a remedy symbolically for deep healing self-illumination work. She explores the role of the Witch (and the aspects of healer and creatrix) in accessing our apothecary for reclaiming lost parts of ourselves, encouraging listeners to know their power to heal themselves - physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually.
In this episode Nicole teaches about the art and science of magical healing and its universal laws, and how important it is to learn to work with these to heal ourselves so that we can become healing activators for others. She empowers you to be able to play with Archetypal Remedies for your own healing, so that you can one day become a guide to others on their healing journey. What You’ll Learn from this Episode:
Healing is an art and a science, grounded in universal laws and principles - and when we take self-responsibility for learning this art and science, we can heal ourselves
Physical manifestations are expressions of lost parts of our souls that are wanting to be reclaimed - and we can do this by working with Archetypal Remedies for self-healing
We each have an “inner apothecary” of Archetypal Remedies - energy remedies that we can work with ourselves for self-illumination and healing
Anything can be a remedy, as long as we work with it symbolically, intentionally and responsibly
We can tune into our inner remedies through archetypes, symbols and nature - examples of Archetypal Remedies include the Rose, the Bee and the Moon - each of these things can teach us about lost, suppressed aspects of our souls (for example, the Bee is a symbol of our busyness)
We each have a unique soul map of remedies to work with, and doing so helps us to heal, and reclaim our gifts
As we heal ourselves, we become a remedy for others similar to us (“like cures like” principle) - and this is how we truly ‘become’ healer witches.

On the Secret Witch Show today our guest is Nikki Van De Car. Nikki is the author of over a dozen books on magic and crafting, including the bestselling ‘Practical Magic’. She is an indigenous creator, focusing on exploring the ways in which stories inform how we understand the world and ourselves. She is a woman in search of magic, in the crunch of leaves and the scratch of a pencil, the brush of lips on a temple, and the sound of voices raised in song.
In this episode Nicole and Nikki delve into the shadow work and how our shadow can have us hiding ourselves (and our inner witch) - with Nikki sharing her story of how she embraced her identity as a witch by befriending her shadow. We discussed the importance and therapeutic value in feeling our emotions, welcoming and accepting ‘all’, integrating our darkness, and dispelling the stigmas around our fear, guilt and shame - especially for ‘Secret Witches’ who want to become healers. We explored the integration of our shadow through self-illumination - and how it can help us reclaim our wholeness and creativity. Nikki shared some ‘practical’ methods including a beautiful meditation, ritual, working with symbols and nature magic. What You’ll Learn from this Episode:
Shadow work involves acknowledging and befriending the darker aspects of ourselves, rather than trying to eradicate them - this process helps us achieve self-illumination, self-healing and a return to wholeness
We tend to suppress our inner witch as adults, though our inner child remembers a time when we were free to express that magic - and we can reclaim this with deconditioning
Emotions such as anger, sadness and envy are best to be expressed, not suppressed - acknowledging and welcoming these emotions is essential for freedom and creativity
Shadow magic doesn’t have to be something we carve huge chunks of time out to ‘do’ - we can integrate it into our every day, making shadow work and magic a part of our lives - by being in ongoing self loving illumination. That said, there are also lots of fun practical rituals we explored if you want to journey that way!
Recognising and loving the inner child is crucial in shadow work - it’s helpful to remember that our shadow is really just the scared, childlike part of us, who wants love. We can provide that love by imagining we are speaking to this part of ourselves as if it were a best friend or a small child

On the Secret Witch Show today, Nicole explores one of the biggest challenges most Secret Witches face: how we can overcome the challenge of balancing our busy lives with our deeper calling to being a healer. She dived into the crucial topic of how to create space for our healer witch, offering a practical ‘workshopy’ episode and guided meditation for women who feel a deep spiritual calling to become healers, but struggle with self-doubt and burn-out - and don’t feel they have space to delve into the deep work.
In this episode, as part of her #HundredHealers vision, Nicole provided both practical steps for time-management, mental and physical space creation and advice on how to integrate magic into our daily life - and a healing journey with an Archetypal Remedy for activation of the part of you that knows how to manifest a magical life: your inner Creatrix, also exploring what resistance to that really means for our healing. What You’ll Learn from this Episode:
The fear and doubt that arises as part of becoming a healer is normal - and not a sign you’re not cut out for it (it’s the ‘Secret Witch’ wound - and just means there’s healing to do of your wounded healer)
Feeling we are lacking time and space to do the deep work in our busy mundane lives is part of this wound - and wants some loving healing (the practical workshop and journey in this episode was potent for helping that)
Cultural views often label necessary healing work as ‘selfish,’ ‘self-indulgent’ or ‘non-essential’ - a perspective that gets internalised by many women, making it harder to prioritise our spiritual growth
Resistance is a healing invitation. It is showing us there's something butting up here against what we know - and we want to go into that with loving curiosity. Like: “why am I feeling resistance? What is my belief here?”
There are some very practical steps we can take to create space for our witch - and, if we have resistance to those, it’s a sign there’s more healing to do around choosing ourselves and claiming our purpose as a healer - we can do this by journeying with Archetypal Remedies (and particularly the Creatrix, who knows her manifesting power)

On the Secret Witch Show today, Nicole is exploring how women can connect with the power of the moon to reclaim their Feminine magic and gifts. She explains a ‘new’ magical way to harness the power of the moon - as a deep ‘archetypal’ symbol, or remedy - that can help secret witches overcome their fear and self-doubt of their magic, helping you get in tune with the moon for deep, healing self-illumination.
In this episode, Nicole also provides more ‘practical’ guidance on cultivating a relationship with the moon, and deeper connection to your natural rhythms and cycles, helping you face any resistance to embracing your inner magic and healing gifts. She briefly explores spiritual ‘ascension’ versus soul ‘descension’ and how you can begin to own your unique gifts and step confidently into your role as a healer.
What You’ll Learn from this Episode:
So many magical women feel the deep fear of their inner magic - mostly struggling with doubting themselves, and feeling disconnected from their Feminine bodies, magic and unique gifts
Many women feel the deep and symbolic call to the moon - but perhaps don’t realise that there’s more to her magic than meets the eye; Luna is an archetypal symbol that helps us reclaim our Feminine magic, mystery and stop doubting our healing gifts
The moon represents an archetypal remedy with deep feminine attributes such as slowness, sensuality, wisdom, and the capacity to be with darkness and emotions.
Connecting with Luna’s rhythms and cycles can help us attune to our own Feminine body’s natural cycles - something which many Secret Witches are disconnected from in our mundane, logical, head-driven society
Moon ritual is a powerful way to embody our magic, and there are practical invitations in this episode to help you get started with working with the moon

On the Secret Witch Show today our guest is Simone Stevens. Sim is an intuitive energy healer, Sekhem practitioner, Psychic medium and practising witch, who is dedicated to offering healing ceremonial sessions, treatments, ritual circles and workshops to guide the mystically and spiritually curious to find their innate magic and alignment. Sim focuses her work around connection to energy and spirit, be that of Spirit realms, plants, ancient energy healing practices, divination tools, sound or crystals. Sim believes that supporting clients to work more closely with their intuition is the portal to profound, positive, and aligned change in their lives.
In this episode we explored how to embrace magic and mystery and how to learn to trust our intuition - even when we are conditioned to mistrust it. We explored the common ‘Healers Journey’ of initiation into the mystery (often via burnout and panic attacks), and how us feeling disconnected from our true selves is often the way we are called into our gifts. We explored the importance of stillness, honouring the natural rhythms and cycles of our bodies - and even navigating mistrust of others in our ‘spirituality’ - to reclaim our innate magic. We dived into some practical steps of tuning into our ‘gut feelings’, and a deeper exploration of intuition versus ego - and the importance of self-compassion along the way. What You’ll Learn from this Episode:
For those who long to be healers, embracing magic and mystery is vital - though we can often have wounding and fear around trusting our intuition that wants to be healed for ourselves first
The mundane world can lead us sensitive souls to manifest symptoms of burn out and panic attacks which can feel like ‘rock bottom’, even when we look like we’ve ‘got it all together’. These are actually a sign of a deeper call into our intuition and magical healing gifts - often these messy dark portals of mystery are catalysts for our deeper purpose - and a required part of the path
It can be hard to open when we feel like this, and it is often in the moment where we think there’s no other choice that intuition kicks in. Staying curious helps us open more fully to trusting our intuition, begin to hear our body and open to our magic - it often requires us to ‘unlearn’ years of conditioning
Practising stillness and carving our time for self-illumination are essential to help us tune unto our natural rhythms and intuition - and this can be cultivated with a practice Sim shares regarding listening to our ‘gut feeling’, to build our ‘intuitive muscle’
The more we heal self-doubt of our magic and intuition, the more others meet us in that - it can be a common fear for the Secret Witch to think that others will judge her as a ‘lunatic’, but when we truly welcome our intuition, and magic, others can too
It’s important to hear our intuition, and it’s taking aligned-action that actually heals - each time we act on synchronicities or inner nudges we are building trust in our intuitive voice

On the Secret Witch Show today, Nicole is discussing how to harness ‘universal laws’ of healing to become a healer. She explores the interesting intersection of science and magic, highlighting the importance of acknowledging universal laws and principles that are often overlooked by conventional scientific paradigms. The episode illuminates various healing laws - such as the Law of Similars, the Law of Direction of Cure, the Law of Potency, and the Law of Return of Old Symptoms, among others - stressing the importance of understanding these laws for true magical healing, rather than ‘quick fixes’.
In this episode we explore the importance of seeing that there are laws built into magic - and that true magical healing is an inside-out process grounded in universal truth. Nicole invites listeners to observe how these universal laws manifest in their own lives and the practice of healing, inspiring women to embrace their magical gifts and navigate the fear of their ‘magic’ with love - and the ‘unapologetic’ mysterious magic of Archetypal Remedy, Luna.
What You’ll Learn from this Episode:
There are lots of Universal Laws and Principles of magic, which often get overlooked when magic is dismissed as ‘invalid’ by science’s ‘logical’ approach
This can have magical women in fear about trusting their gifts - because often, magic is more intuitive and mysterious
Yet science is beginning to catch up and recognise things that magic has explained for years - for example, homeopathic miasms can be defined by epigenetics now
These universal laws are baked into magical healing, and teach us so much - for example,
The Law of Similars explores why it is ‘us’ that is the medicine, rather than our ‘tools - because like cures like - people are activated by our story
The Law of Direction of Cure explores that true healing works inner to outer, not by ‘fixing’ external symptoms
The Law of Return of Old Symptoms explores why things can get worse before they get better - and why that’s a good thing!
Overall, it’s really interesting to dive into these laws, and it’s important to walk a magical healing path that bakes these principles into it.

On the Secret Witch Show today our guest is William Apple. William is Founder of Aion Psychodynamic Coaching and with a passion for understanding the depths of the human psyche, and a commitment to personal growth and transformation, William offers a unique approach to coaching and mentoring that transcends traditional "Life Coaching" paradigms. William's most influential Teacher, and Mentor by proxy - within the realms of Psychology - would be Carl Jung. Like Jung, William has found a devotion within himself to explore and cultivate an intimacy with Psyche, and Her Mother, The Unconscious, and this Intimacy is driven by a likewise strict devotion to the Child of Logos, Analysis. All of which likewise led William naturally towards Traditional Western Alchemy and Mysticism; making Carl Jung William's most naturally aligned "professor".
In this deep and brilliant episode we explore how to journey with ‘inner child’ work and ‘shadow work’ (rather than the phantasy of ‘quick fixes’) for deep healing. We dived into the psychological reasons we tend to favour ‘quick fix’ approaches to healing, what we mean by ‘real’ inner-child work - and how curiosity, intimacy and self-illumination are key to healing and realising our magic. Listen to the end - William shares truthfully at the end that becoming a healer is one of the most challenging callings we can have, sharing why healing ourselves is important along the way. What You’ll Learn from this Episode:
Our biggest wounding comes from the ‘unlived life of our parents’ which leaves us with unmet needs that become our wounds - and this can be healed with ‘true’ inner child work.
The challenge is, much ‘inner child work’ is often related to from a place of ‘quick fix’ projection and phantasy by modern coaching and self-help industries - ideas of ‘go play with your little girl’ embodiment practices - which are helpful in some ways, but often lack the depth of healing
Caveating that ‘real’ is our own projection, William explores that how he sees the ‘real’ journey of healing is grounded in a lifelong journey of understanding our biases, projections and conditionings - and ‘phantasies’ - with loving, curious self-illumination - which some could call the ‘deep work’
Projection is not a ‘bad thing’ - we have projected onto ‘projection’ if we think it is! It is a great thing to get curious about - we are even projecting things that we deem to feel ‘good’ (because that reveals where we have met an unmet need)
As aspiring healer witches, we have been called to no easy task - the work of healing ourselves isn’t easy (and is ongoing) *and* as healers, we also have a responsibility for accountability, self-awareness and avoiding projecting of our unmet needs
Common fears of becoming a healer - including fear of failure, self-doubt and fear of being judged and abandoned are rooted in shame, and can be healed through deep, loving self-illumination
Inner child work, parts work, shadow work and ancestral healing are all serving to help us reclaim our magic - ultimately all offering us a way of deepening intimacy with ourselves

On the Secret Witch Show today, Nicole explores the importance of being attuned to our ‘intuition’ as healers - especially when we doubt our magic. Exploring the common challenges of the ‘Secret Witch’ (a secretly wise-woman born here to be a healer) as self-doubt, imposter syndrome, and lacking confidence in - or mistrusting - our gifts, she dives into how to embrace our deeper purpose by healing our healer’s wounding around ‘magic’.
In this episode, Nicole illuminates a practical path for reconnecting to our bodies for deep, intentional healing and reclamation of our inner-wisdom and intuition - to unlock our healing powers, and transmit our unique remedy. She explores her mission to create a movement of 100 new healers, and the power of working with Archetypal Remedy, Luna - or the moon - to help us learn self-healing tools for healing our inner healer and expressing our gifts.
What You’ll Learn from this Episode:
Many women experience self-doubt and imposter syndrome about their healing gifts and abilities - and rather than this being a sign to give up, it is a call to learn to trust our intuition and connect with our inner wise woman.
Becoming a healer or wise woman involves learning to heal our fear of that, which often manifests due to cultural conditioning around magic and ancestral trauma (aka the witch wound).
To begin to heal our witch wound and inner healer’s disconnect from our intuition, we need to cultivate an intimacy with our bodily sensations - rather than just feelings or emotions.
We must embody our own gifts and healing experiences to be able to teach and guide others - authentic teaching comes from our lived and embodied wisdom.
*And* we all have something we have embodied - and therefore, so long as we are teaching from where we have been, and where we are now, there’s a gift to be found that we can help others with.
Learning to attune to our sensations and their meanings takes time - there’s no rush to be a healer - true healing is a slow, deep process (our culture values ‘quick fixes’, yet meaningful transformation takes time).
